So, I decide to break down and get Road Runner (cable modem with Time Warner). I called yesterday and they said they could install today (between 10:30-1:30).

Then, I'm in Best Buy today getting a videocam battery through service waiting forever but I see a sign "$75 giftcard for signing up for Road Runner."

It's 11am . . . I call Time Warner and cancel the service call. Sign up through BB and find out the earliest I can get it is Thurs.

But back home the guy shows up at 1:30 and I get it installed today.

After rebate, I just fell backwards into a $75 Best Buy giftcard.

Cool

That is pretty cool. I recently got RoadRunner as well. You got lucky. Last month to be exact. We made the appointment at the beginning of April, and they couldn't install until the middle of May.

That's weird . . . did you have conflicts with some of the appointments they gave you?

I was able to get daytime appts no problem.

Nah, I'm thinking it was the area where I live. They said the soonest they could get us in was a month and a half later. The wait sucked.

what are you going to do when the guy shows up Thursday to install your service? Pretty cool though.

You're right . . . I bet they will come again.

Actually this is a gaming deal . . . I can buy 150 $5 games to trade in at EBGames and . . .
