I bought a DS at launch with the two year replacement deal. Today I approached the store about returing it for full price to purchase a PSP. The only problem is that I misplaced the reciept. Is there anyway that EB will have a record of my purchase or am I screwed out of about 100 bucks (trade in difference)?
Please help me I am feeling distraught. :(

It's been a while, but I'm pretty sure their replacement plan is for just that...replacement. I doubt they're just going to cough up full retail for a unit you purchased over six months ago.

They told me today that I just had to bring "everything in" but that it would give me full price.
I just wonder if the replacement thing is in the computer

Yeah...if I understand correctly, the Replacement plan from EB is just for replacement, like the Plan at Best Buy. BB gives store credit towards the purchase of anything, and I'm not sure if EB does that as well. However, if you lie to EB and say that it's broken, you are commiting fraud and deserve to "be mashed into a pulp, or to have his eyes gouged out, and his elbows broken. To have his kneecap split, and his body burned away, and his limbs all hacked and mangled. His head smashed in and heart cut out, and his liver removed, and his bowels unplugged, and his nostrils raped and his bottom burned off and his penis split..."

If they like their jobs, they wouldn't be doing that. Return policy on systems (whether you bought the esa or not) is 14 days UNOPENED. If it's opened it's replacement for same item only. And yeah, you have to have your receipt.

System ESA's you will only be able to exchange for the same system. Unless there is some fluke and DS drops off the planet, you're SOL. At least when I worked at EB (mind you, it's been like 7-8 years ago) we kept a copy of the ESA and stub stored in the back for up to 6-months. After that it would be sent to home office. If I recall correctly, Home office got a stub for each ESA sold with your info and serial # that got sent in the closing work each night. Good luck after the 6-month retention period, HO was notorious for loosing or misplacing paperwork. I'd ask the manager real nice to lookup the warranty. Worse comes to worse, get a hold of the District manager (they should be able to submit a request to HO).

If you're asking if they keep records of individual purchases and whatnot, i'm pretty sure they don't, but names are stored in the system for preorders.. but if you're asking in regards to like.. typing "Smith, Kevin" and seeing all the stuff Kevin Smith has bought as well as warranties, no, nothing like that to my knowledge
