I'm sure that I'm not the only one to have bought a movie/series head on and then to later feel the sting of a box set come out. For instance, to Fullmetal Alchemist, Samurai Champloo, etc. What I was wondering was if there were sites where you could buy the legitimate boxes for these shows.

He and his team make some great aluminum boxsets. I have ordered from him before and I believe they are better than the ones that come with the set. Check out his work.

They are a little pricey, but well worth it.

You might be able to find the boxes at Best Buy or Amazon.com. A lot of times they add a box with the first volume of the series. Depending on how badly you want the box, you could always buy the first volume again if you already have it, but at least now you'll have the box.

Here are a couple links:

Samurai Champloo:

Full Metal Alchemist:

Those aluminum boxed sets that Galvatron suggested look pretty awesome too.

www.rightstuf.com will alot of times have the empty boxes by themselves. However don't expect the extras, and good luck finding a FLCL box, they are RARE. Also, the FMA box is actualy the tin, and those aren't being sold seperately.

Firstly I would like to say thanks to all those that have given suggestions. Those metal box sets/tins look amazing. Great work by that guy.

And the idea of rebuying the first DVD again with the box isn't really too appealing to me. I don't really want to go out and spend the money for something that I've already bought. I know that rightstuf will have them for real cheap sometimes (like in their Weekly Updates) and the DVD, but I doubt that either the Samurai Champloo or FMA ones will be on their. Also, I would also like to specify that I would like only the box for some shows that I have like for Gundam Wing and Yu Yu Hakusho which I bought mostly individually since it came to be just about the same price (especially with the DDD sales).

Other than what these guys already suggested, you're pretty much out of luck unless you find somebody willing to part with their boxes for your benefit.

Darn. Oh well I guess, but I thought I had read somewhere on CAG that there was a place online that sold only the boxes of sets. Might have been bootlegs though, I can't remember.

Edit: So then where would be the cheapest to find the boxes and/or the DVD to come with it.

If nothing else you can try to sell the first volume copies of the series you have and wait until the winter when DDD has another 20% off sale and buy the first volumes with a box. That's the least amount of money you can lose that I can think of.

Or give the first volume as a present and just pretend like you bought it for that reason and that you really bought your first volume with the box. Don't worry, you'll forget the truth soon enough. :)

By the way, this is the reason why I just wait until they come out with the final, super-special, platinumy goldish editions of the full series box sets. Cause I hate it when they come out with a box set after I bought a movie, plue hate it when they come out with 8 more editions of the same movie.
