Well, I heard someone on here saying they sold theirs on ebay for about 350 a few months ago, and another person on another site saying they've seen them go for up to 400. I really need the money for vet bills, so I decided to put mine up on ebay. I figured I'd try it for 340 with a buy it now of 380, but I've gotten about 5 e-mails (and I listed it about 8 hours ago), of varying degrees of rudeness, from people who think I'm insane. I sold a turbo duo game once for this much, but that's mainly a collector community so no one thought twice about the price. Were the people who said that wrong, or is this to be expected with a psone game like that? I've had this happen with a few other things as well, but I fully knew their value (so I wasn't concerned) and it was never this many e-mails.

Before anyone says it, yes I personally think the price is insane, but if it's worth that much then that's all that matters.

Is yours sealed? That sounds more like it would be worth 300+ if it was sealed.

ya, it's sealed. I got it years ago at cvs, they had a rack of about 20 differen't psone titles on the counter and they had a bunch of sotn's for 20 bucks each. I bought one, but the thing is I never liked castlevania much so I just never opened it. About a week ago I heard it was worth a lot so I figured I'd try ebaying it.

I think I've seen it lately for 200-250, so it has dropped a little like the FF7, but yeah, I've seen them go for 350-400 about 6 months or so ago

IMO, a sealed sotn is for a collector as much as any PCE game. There are plenty of open and/or GH versions available. If anyone gives you any guff, point them in the direction of the several hundred places you can buy open and/or GH copies.

myke.

ya, though the difference is that people buying pce games tend to know the value of things better and tend to be collectors, with games like castlevania you have collectors in with the normal people who don't know how much stuff is worth. But the reason I was unsure is because I've never actually seen one go for that much (never looked before this week though), so I wasn't going by my own experience, just the word of 2 people who seemed credible but I didn't know definately. And, like I said, I've never had this many e-mails like that so it caught me off guard.

What right do ebayers have to be rude to you? They should just click back and keep moving if they think you're asking too much.
