Argh, the cable TV in my dorm room is broken and so I get no channels until they come in and fix it on Tuesday. Is it gonna air again anytime soon? For some weird reason, I'm really curious to watch this.

I am trying to remember from when this originally aired like 2 months ago.
When he was younger his mom got a job offer in a far away area and she basically just picked up and left ...
This caused him to turn to videogames and he plays them A LOT. Probably 11-15 hours a day. They show him playing Halo and I believe Dead to Rights. He has a really cute female friend and she potentially could have something more from him but he plays too many videogames. She stops over at his house and just watches him play videogames during the show. He doesn't spend time with his brother or his father, and he doesn't have a job.
His mom shows up for his intervention and his cute female friend, who should call me sometime :), says that if he doesnt go through with treatment she won't be his friend. I know people act all nice in front of TV cameras but this girl seems to geniunely care for him and I believe he goes on this outdoor retreat.
The addict is skinny and speaks in a rather articulate manner for his age. Sorry if this response isn't coherent or structured and devoid of a lot of detail for it is 3 am and I am trying to remember minute details of this show when it originally aired a couple months ago....

Yeah, you basically hit the nail on the head for the entire program. Wow, well I suppose that Life in all its permutations can create situations of this severity, I feel bad for him.

Yeah everyone should know that after the videogame "rehab" he was still playing videogames but for a far less duration.
It was funny because I know the stereotype of a videogamer being a fat slob is typically incorrect but when I heard videogame addict before I watched the show I was expecting some huge leviathan not someone who has the body type of Adrian Brody (okay Im exaggerating there :) )
Even his brother who plays less vid games than him had more poundage.

Sounds interesting, I'll have to check that show out. How old is he? and I wonder how he met the cute friend to begin with? Sounds like he doesn't leave the house.
same thing happened in the MTV true life about gamers, they should this house where a bunch of dudes lived and it was a veritable gaming opium den...yet somehow, there's this decent looking girl who visited them and would watch them play games(and it seemed like they just kinda ignored her lol)

.
From what I remember, the Mom wanted to go back to school and she felt her family was just "holding her back" and was a "burden". She divorced her husband, told him she didn't want the kids, and moved clear across the country. She only talks to her kids twice a year.
Then, during the show, she's flipping out because she's "losing her son". The lady is a huge hypocrite, I wanted to smack her straight in the face.
