This probably isn't much help, but all I remember was the last line of the chorus. It goes like this:
"You say it best, when you say nothing at all."
These girls were singing and I didn't get a chance to ask them what band it was.

I believe that song is from Alison Krauss.
I knew a country singer sang it before anyone else did. I haven't heard her version, but I thought the country one was pretty damn good.

I knew a country singer sang it before anyone else did. I haven't heard her version, but I thought the country one was pretty damn good.
I personally think Allison Krauss sang it best, but it was also sung by Keith Whitley and there is a third version in which they sing a duet (not sure if they actually got together and sang it or if somebody slick spliced the two together, but it sounds professional and I have heard it on the radio several times).
Krauss does do a phenomenal job with that song though.
