That's funny, my brother is totally addicted to those games. If he gets Civ 4, he might be coming home from grad school early.

I was addicted to Civilization for a while. I only saw 256 colors for 12+ hours/day for at least one summer. I remember once letting the last enemy city survive, so I could surround it and starve it by filling up the entire continent around it with units. I might still have the game save on a floppy somewhere.

IMO I never thought Civilization was that great. I don't like the turn based system. I'm more of an Age of Empires guy.

I got pretty addicted after I bought Civilization III at TRU for $2! My wife got pretty sicko about it also...

I recall many happy hours playing the original Civilization. I was so addicted to that game, and it's still in my top faves for pc games. CivIII was pretty good too, but nothing beats the original.

Soooo addicting. Sometimes frustrating because if you screw up just a little bit everything goes downhill.

Civ II all the way

I've recently been playing HOMM3 again. HOMM3 is also crack-like. But Civilization is worse.

P.S. I saw this the other day. Funny. :D

I think I'm a recovering Civ 3 addict.:)

Never played Civilization til Civ2 in 1996. After buying it, 6+ months of my free time litterally dissapeared because of it. I still play it on and off... really need to grab up a copy of Civ3.

And don't forget Master of Orion I and II. The latter ate up just as much time of mine if not more. Haven't tried MoO3 yet too.

I held off on buying Civ II and III until this year because I thought I might get hooked on it again.

One more turn... just one more turn...
