Does the official psone LCD screen work with the ps2?

Just wondering.. I'm going on a road trip in a few weeks and I might consider picking up a screen. I read that it does, but I just want to confirm it because I've never actually seen the screen so I have no idea how it hooks up or anything.

Also, is using ps2/lcd screen powered by a car with adaptors good for the car battery?

The PSOne LCD does work w/ PS2 in a way, but it may be too much of a hassle for a road trip since you'll need a special type of cable and a few couplers. Let me try to find the old thread so you can see what can be done. As far as car battery goes, I guess it should be ok as long as you don't run it too long, but personally i've never took my consoles into my car to play.

I'll have to pick up the necessary car adaptors. I've already got the necessary cables just laying around my house and I've aleady got an inverter and couplers.
