What is the exact point of that and how do they know what "scat" means?

I've read some older stuff of his, he repeatedly referred to histories great holocausts with the "holocaust againt the westboro baptist church" being the most recent.

Keep in mind, the "Rev" Phelps protests with basically his family...something like 80 grandkids and 10 kids.... and that he and the 'moral majority' are not representative of most Christians. I am Christian, and am angered by these types who have usurped the name of Christ for political reasons. This shall pass, as more and more Christians (who might be liberal, moderate, or conservative) stand up and say.. We don't believe that. This 'rev' phelps seems much more like a pharasee of Jesus day than a spokesman for Jesus.

I took these at the DNC, are my pics photoshopped too? These were taken on a camera phone, as I didn't have a real camera at the time, so the quality kinda sucks. Fred Phelps is the guy in the football jersey at the podium.

I just spent 10 minutes remembering that day and looking at the pics. My favorite signs were "palestine always looks like this" (inside the caged free speech zone), and "Kerry/Edwards, where's the greed?" from the "billionaires for bush" joke protest. A guy dressed up like the monopoly man was the main speaker, wicked funny.
And cause I'm thinking of it and it's somewhat relevant, here's a stupid phelps wannabe from the day gay marriage was legalized. The guy in green with the paper over his face was a gay former missionary. They got into a biblical debate and the gay guy absolutely destroyed him, while being extremely funny in the process. I am not a Christian nor would I like to have any association with Christianity linked to my name, but this is giving Jesus a bad name. According to the bible Jesus associated himself to the beggars, poor, lepers, thieves and other social outcasts. In today’s society this would include the “$$$s,” panhandlers, goth kids ;), etc. Jesus would have taught them the “way, truth and the light.” I am sure he wouldn’t call “$$$s” or other degrading names wile making an ass of himself and what he believes in. If these people really are Christian, they aren't acting like it. Where in any teaching of any Christian faith does it say God hates anyone? These people are blasphemous.

The christian god turned the people of Sodom and Gamorrah into salt. I don't think it's a sign of affection when a god turns your people into salt.

Actually, only Lot's wife was turned into a pillar of salt, as punishment for looking back. Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed with fire and brimstone. Why exactly looking back was wrong, and why a pillar of salt, of all things, is left to the imagination.
