Wilkes-Barre Pa...again, oddly enough.
The Videogame Store off the square does occasionally have some pretty good deals. You could haggle with the owner, Steve, a bit too. The flea markets are an ok source of good games as well, with the market on Sixth Street being the former king. Though I haven't checked back in about a year and a half.
Any of you guy remember the store "Recycled Fun" in Edwardsville?
It closed about two years ago after a about a year of buisness.
My dad's failed attempt at getting into the videogame buisness....but good times were had by all while it was open.

Hey guys, I live in the Hazleton area (between hazleton and wilkes barre), but I am 30 minutes from Wilkes Barre. Anyway I am looking for a gamestore to get some good deals. I am looking for something with more newish games, but I don't want to travel to Wilkes Barre unless I can confirm a good deal. I know the one in downtown Wilkes Barre is good, but do they have new games?
All of my Wal Marts never mark down crap, and every other store doesn't mark down shit in Hazleton.

I'm in Sunbury.
I usually hit up yard sales/thrift stores and the GS/fye at the mall.
There's a badass little video game store in Shamokin (not Shamokin Dam). Not sure of the street name, as I don't drive, but it's on the same street as their little Salvation Army. I think it's still open, I was only in there once, though, and it was like two years ago. I got Earthworm Jim for the SNES for $5. His prices are reasonable for a specialty shop and usually cheaper than online.
The Lewisburg flea market has some gaming setups too, with decent prices. I got Revolution X (Genesis) in the case from the "major" video game seller for $3 and then Perfect Dark for the 64 for $5 from someone selling just a few games and other stuff.
There's another flea market, I think the one in Paxinos, that has a video game shop setup too. Prices aren't that great, but I didn't haggle. I just got Joe & Mac for the SNES for $7.

I think he is talking about the Got Game? That used to be on South Street. I was surprised to see it closed too. And I think you are talking about Showcase Comics, which is still open. They used to be right next to each other until Showcase sized down and rent its other half out. I think my favorite store on South Street was Quakers Head, if any of you guys remember it.

I for the life of me can't remember what Suncoasts used to be called but we had one here in Harrisburg and it was the best store ever .. this was back in the days before Best Buy and Circuit City got big. I remember it being like a field trip going to that store and checking out all the cds, books, and VHS tapes (). And the best part is that it was all pretty cheap. There was barely a cd that cost more than $10 or so (keeping in mind this is when cds were about $17) and then Musicland bought them out and converted them all to Suncoasts and its been downhill ever since. It amazes me FYE and Waldenbooks stay in business.

Before I moved, I used to hit up the Targets (Selinsgrove/Williamsport), Sears (Susquehanna Mall/Lycoming Mall) and Toys R Us (next to Lycoming Mall) and score big a lot of the time, at least with the Targets and Sears anyway. Every now and then you can catch when TRU does their markdowns and get in on some pretty decent deals.

I know where that Best Buy is.;) Anyway, you're not missing anything by not buying the Ultimate Edition of God Of War 3 in the US. Every one of the soundtracks and documentaries are download ONLY, unlike the UK version(which included the GOW Collection in the package as well.

Yeah dvds were like 9.99 which was awesome, games were alright, but you could get most of the same for cheaper at Kmart (like Heavy Rain GoW3), or a store like amazon. Also if you haven't checked out the place called Buy Back, it's in the Marshalls Plaza in Greensburg, they have some nice prices on games, and have older systems/games as well.

Tell me about it. In this area there's at least one empty former WalMart store and once the newer one a bit down the line opens up this other one that was just a normal WM they converted to a 24/7 store will be sitting idle as well.

Update on that madden tournament. I was in the store tonight and the manager said that if theres a bigger turn out then he expects that he actually bought a 360 console to give away as a grand prize. Said it entirely depends on how many people show up as to whether or not he is giving the console away or just returning it. Figured I would throw this up in case anyone was on the fence..

The Exchange usually comes highly recommended. It's a series of used media (cd/dvd/games) stores with a number of locations in Western PA. Has games for consoles going back to the NES, usually with the consoles themselves as well. Used to be quite a nice place for grabbing rare games on the cheap, but eBay and such has helped normalize prices somewhat. Still, a nice place to use to price compare against other sites and/or find random Collector Editions.

Also Pittsburgh
The Exchange is not the Video Game Exchange, which was AWESOME. God, in retrospect, it was a lot cooler place than I think I even realized at the time. They had tons of games for every classic system, and you could try the game before you bought it. That's right.. you could try any game they had from any system they had for a short period of time. BADASS
The Exchange is still fine though. It's about the only place you'll find NES/Genesis/SNES/Playstation/N64 games. Don't expect fantastic collections of any, but they have a few cool games there. As said above, I think Ebay and such have really changed the classic game market.

I picked up a few FF posters and LBP keychain at Joy's Japanamination in Greensburg, PA.
While in Erie, PA, I snagged Persona 3 CE (PS2) for $20 new at Sears (Millcreek Mall store). I also saw Dead or Alive 4 for $5 there, but I didn't grab it since it was Platinum Hits. The Sears wasn't too bad in clearance games. I didn't see anything at Target on clearance I wanted.
