Looking for a good desktop system. I am looking for something with a cdr or possibly a dvd burner. Also i would like to get in on one of those free flat panel upgrades they do sometimes. I dont usually play PC games but i would need it to at least run the sims2 smoothly (mostly to keep the wife happy) so any deals going on?? Thanks

I know there are many various people that get 12% off Dell products. Employees at the university here get that discount. Or if you know a Mary Kay consultant, they get that discount too. You may want to look into various people who can get that discount if you can.

This will play the sims and not much else. and I really don't think the sims will play that great I could be wrong though.

To make it better and play more then the sims you could play FPS Doom or Half-life but. Add a flat panel for $185 and one of the best video cards. it costs $140, Also add 1Gb of ram. I feel windows runs best on 1GB of ram.


Now you can go a little cheaper by getting rid of the flat panel and that video card the next lower one you will be able to play the sims and not much else. Leave the ram on though. Upgrade the CPU on all of them to a 3.0 ghz for only 16 bucks more it's worth it trust me.

Also they all have the dvd burner 16x dual layer burner. as a option stick that on.

I would go all out and add that 6800 video card and that flat panel with the 16x dvd burner make it over 1,000 dollars and get $400 bucks off. Should cost you about $700 when everything is said and done. That is a steal. Just don't do the dell financing thing it's a rip off.

I'm not really sure why you want a Dell, but they're currently running a sale. 20% off every desktop model, except the XPS series (25% off) and their base model (free printer).
