In addition, the sales manager (after pointing out the ad to him :wall: ), said 'That must be why Pandora Tomorrow rang up for $9.99'

Instead of confirmed prices for PC clearance in the title, you should change it to "confirmed titles for PC clearance". Plus it's not YMMV since these sale prices are nationwide, I believe.

Apparently we're either the first or only thread to care about cheap PC games... google has brought up nothing on this PC clearance event.

I have a feeling there are some awesome hidden bargains to be found here.

Probably because no one knows about it, including CC. The 'clearance PC titles' can easily be missed in the ad and I talked to the sales manager AND operations manager in addition to 5 employees who could give me absolutely no help. The games I picked up were still marked with higher prices. Even FSW and R&C:GC were still marked with higher prices and they are pictured in the ad.

I'm wondering if the price break announcement or whatever didn't break at the store level because it was Sunday.

Yea, this was way to the right of the PC Software, not even in the same section anymore. There were some remote control cars there, and some controllers and such.

I wouldn't trust computer checks, either, done by the employees. One employee told me that "they don't have Morrowind and haven't stocked it for awhile" but when I showed him the copy, he was pretty dumbfounded.

CC has a shitty PC games selection... I was really hoping for shit like Rome: Total War to be 9.99, and maybe some of those star wars games that looks like they haven't sold.

Yes, just the regular Painkiller. My CC didn't have the Gold Edition, but if someone sees one, it wouldnt hurt to try ringing it up. But for now, I can only confirm the regular version at $9.99.

What about the Rise of Nations: Gold Edition? Getting both versions together is really only saving you roughly 5 - 10 dollars over the Gold edition, not that great a deal.

I don't think there's any YMMV on Painkiller at this point. The regular version is $9.99 (confirmed by me). The Gold Edition is not $9.99 (as confirmed by you). So if we list it as "Painkiller (not the Gold Edition)", I think we're clear there.

I also strongly suspect the discrepancy on Battlefield Vietnam has to do with the regular version versus the Redux version. When the Admiral confirmed it at $9.99, he distinctly mentioned it was not the Redux version. Unfortunately, this little tidbit didn't get transferred to the OP when they compiled the list, hence the reason for the confusion. At least that's my theory.

Now you probably won't believe this, but the selection at my CC was nil and the employees were ignorant. Asking for the $9.99 clearance, he sent me to the endcap with the "$5.99 or 3 for $10" games (where you'll find the first Freedom Force). But nothing else I wanted (FFvsTTR, SC:PT or the CD version of BfME) were in the shelves anywhere else (just the DVD version), so its pretty bare as usual. Might have to order online if I can force myself to get my credit card out.

Remembered I can't even try to PM Metroid Prime 2 there anyway, they've never had it in stock that I can recall.

Overall, bad for gaming, good for my wallet.

Age of Mythology: The Titans - Frickin great RTS xpac
Beyond Good and Evil - I didn't like it much, but most people do. Adventure
Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil - Awesome FPS
Evil Genius - Original and funny RTS. Get it.
Far Cry - Beautiful game and fun FPS, even though its a bit bland with the story.
Freedom Force - $6.99 - I hated it... but others liked it. RTS/RPG
Morrowind - Game of the Year Edition - $7.99 - Its sheer size is a strong and weak point. Interesting places are far apart and not much to see in between. RPG
Rise of Nations - Sweet RTS.
Splinter Cell : Pandora Tomorrow - More of the same, not bad, but not ground breaking. Stealth
Star Wars: Battlefront - You bent my wookie!... and my storm trooper... and my x-wing... If you like starwars or FPS, get this game.
Thief : Deadly Shadows - Steal/action game where you avoid action at all costs. They though about going with "Theif: I think I'll take a nap while I wait for this guard to turn around" but it was a bit verbose...
Tribes: Vengence - A decent shooter with a mediocre story that gets trite half way though.
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Totally fucking awesome RTS. Even if you don't know what the hell Warhammer is, get this!

We (my brother-in-law and I) asked about both Far Cry and Evil Genius and although they were marked at the usual price, they are actually $10. There are quite a bit of these games available in the Tampa stores on Dale Mabry and in Brandon (there were about 4 Warhammers two nights ago at Dale Mabry). Still haven't been able to find Morrow GOTY. I have been able to find most every game on the original post though.

I've checked every store in the Tampa Bay area, and none of them have Morrowind GOTY... even got the employee to search every store in the area for it through the computer.

went to cc in brea, ca yesterday and only found one game that i wanted (not much of a selection). i'm happy though b/c it's the one i wanted the most (freedom force vs. 3rd reich).

I price checked BF:Vietnaam at both locations and both rang up 19.99 so im pretty sure this is either YMMV or they changed the price on it.

*cough* Dawn of War came out in 2004.

And really, Rise of Nations is a better overall RTS. Dawn of War is definitely a faster game, though.

Went back to CC again today, finally found some copies of RoN + exp. Both CD and DVD versions of LoTR: BfME rang up at $31.99. Found Myst Uru Complete Chronicles for $1.99. Still looking for FF vs TTR if someone is interested in Warhammer, Myst, or Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow.

One rebate per game per person.

Which means you can only submit one copy of a rebate for a specific game, though you can do multiple rebates, as long as they're for different games.
