Any body play?
Do you buy paint online?
Where do you buy it from?
How long you been playin'?
I mostly want to know the best deal on paint online, and if I'm going to be buying paint online I want the good stuff, like Draxxus/Diablo so give up what you know and help a brother out.

I usually just rent from the park I go to. You can check this site out they have some decent deals. I can't justify buying equipment and supplies cause I really don't play that much. I'd rather hunt with live ammo and kill defenseless forest creatures.

The places I've all been to, don't allow carry on paint, so we have to buy paint from the field. I know this in no way answers your question, but dangit I have to raise my post count somehow.

Still nothing decent. I'm really looking for a miricle here because after shipping I'd end up paying maybe a buck or two less then I could get at one of the 4 local shops. And I can get them to shave around 5 bucks off a case locally if I get my tank filled and buy something else.
Thanks for the effort.

I take it that you weren't very happy with the link I provided you in your PM last week? Were they expensive?

No, they're alright. I'll probably get some from them next week.

I find that local sporting goods stores have good prices when on sale. Check there. But as the guy above said, not too many places allow you to bring your own paint. It's how they make money.

Argeed BUT there's a local indoor place (http://www.providencepaintball.com/)that has "bring your own paint" on Wednesdays.
And
There's at least 10 of us that have our own guns so we all just buy paint at a shop, get our tanks filled and head out into the woods.

As far as the other questions are concerned, I've been playing off and on for a couple of years. I play only a few times a year, completely recreational. I currently have 3 crappy guns, and would love to get a Spyder or Tippman (something nicer but cheap). I think its crazy the people that go out and get the $1000 Autocockers, but they probably think I'm crazy for spending a grand in videogames. Or they're rich and they have both.... Damn I hate rich people.

You should part out the 3 guns and get one really good one, now that you know what you like.

Yeah, that's my problem, finding people to play with.. All of my friends are lazy asses. Or I can find people who want to play, but have no gun, no paintballs and want me to supply everything. Damn I need rich friends.

It's not that expensive, no more than any other hobby, nobody needs to be rich.
You can get package deals for about 100 bucks. Gun, goggles, tank, hopper. Usually at Dick's Sporting Goods or Sports Authority, if you have them in your area.
Paint is like 50 bucks a case, 4 bags of 500 shots, which is plenty for one afternoon, 4 guys kick in on a case and it's 12.50 each.
Air tanks are 5 bucks to fill. probably need to get it filled every other time if you get a 20oz, which holds enough for 800-1000 shots.

Well, while its not that much, you don't understand the people I hang out with. When I say lazy, I mean like you wouldn't believe (read:smoke-a-lot-a-dope). When I say they need to be rich, I mean NOT POOR (read:smoke-a-lot-a-dope). I need new energetic friends. I need to be able to say I need new friends without sounding pathetic (is that possible?). Where do I find friends? Isn't there some sort of website I can go too? What's shipping going to cost me? Many of my friends are having kids and thus rendering them useless to me, I need to trade in for newer, less baby-fied models.

I hear ya, it's harder to maintain friends the older you get, everyone becomes busy with life and family and what not and just don't have time to do fun shit any more.
And the older you get the harder it is to make new friends, the only real way is thru work. But what if the people you work with suck? Then what?
Maybe a part time job at a Best Buy or something where you can meet new people?

Yeah if your gonna go play some woodsball its not expensive, maybe like $40 for a day... tank fill and half a case of paint...
But if you play tournement speedball then your gonna get raped in the arse for high paint prices and your gonna need something more than a crappy tippman or a spyder...
Like every other sport: you can play with low end equipment, but if you get into tournements you are gonna need better to be able to last.
Oh yeah the best sites I can find are:
www.actionvillage.com <-- I buy all my stuff except paint from them
www.888paintball.com <--- Some of my friends use it
www.Paintballarmory.com <--- Again friends also use it
Yeah you can order paint online, but your are much better off spending the extra $10 and buying it from a shop, that way you don't end up with 1 broken ball in each of your bags and have to spend a half hour cleaning all the balls in a case. (Almost every place lets you check the case when you buy, for breaks, if they don't, Don't buy from them.)

I don't play, but where I live, there is a hotel that is getting torn down on May 3rd, so the local paintball place rented it out for tomorrow to play paintball in. Sounds pretty cool actually, have the entire run of a huge hotel to play paintball in. Makes me want to go play, but I have to work.

I have absolutely nothing to say on the paintball issue. :)
But WOW, can I relate to these 2 posts. All of my friends have "grown up", gotten married and had kids. I seem to be the only one that has refused to grow up. It really does suck.

The field I go to won't allow you to bring your own paintballs either. I think the worry is that some people store their paintballs in refridgeration units. Otherwise, the paintballs could expand & break if left in warm, humid weather. So if people bring paintballs stored in ice coolers, and fire them at people, the paintballs become harder to break, thus causing more pain to the body.

Why not to freeze paint-
:!: Yeah if you run a gun, besides a mag with a level-10 then your shaq-fu-ed when it defrosts. The paint will most likely expand and just break in your gun/barrel one after another after another.
:!: Your paint is not gonna break, therefore your pretty much just shooting little balls of pain that can be shaken off in 3 seconds, which will not cause people to walk off the field.
:!: Your royally screwed if I find you :P (theres a reason I keep an allen wrench with me on the field, to increase velocity when I find jerks that do that).
:!: if your the last one left, and people notice you have frozen paint... Your gonna have one paintfull time walking back to the deadbox/rest area.
Trust me, i've seen kids get caught with frozen paintballs, and I would NOT want to be them
Yeah BTW me and my friends used to play paintball in the snow all the time, and trust me the paintballs had to be very near frozen... It dosen't hurt anymore than normal. (We wern't wearing any extra "armor" ie. jackets)

I don't know if I should be hurt or honored.
BTW, Congrats on the tag. If anyone has earned that title, it's definitely you.
