I just got broadband and want to try out Xbox Live before deciding to buy it. I have a two month trial that I got when I bought Forza. Just wondering when I use the code and they ask me to input my credit card, will it show up on my bill (even if it shows up as $0 charged) or will it show up only after the two month trial is over?

You're correct.

The card is just to secure the service, they don't bill you until right before the two month trial ends.

Sorry but I still dont understand. So it will show up on my bill (but not charged for anything) a couple of days before the trial ends? Sorry because I dont want my parents to get pissed at me when they see that I'm trying to get Xbox Live.

Microsoft does do an "authorization" on the card to see that it is valid. Usually, it's $1. They did this to me when I ran out of my year membership and needed to switch to a monthly plan temporarily. Also, they did this when I first signed up, I believe.

However, the authorization will never show up on the statement. You'll just notice that for a day or so you have one less dollar than normal.

This is why Microsoft says to keep at least a dollar on your credit card at all times, even if you plan never to charge on it.

#1 - why would they charge your credit card $0 before the trial period ends?
#2 - are you mentally retarded and thus your parents hold full responsibility for every action you take?
#3 - why don't you have your own credit card to put on the line if it is so important to you?
#4 - why can't you accept resposibility for any charge that shows up on a credit card that you should be accountable for?
for starters.....

1.) If they do charge me (even if it says $0) on the bill, my parents know that I'm trying to get Xbox Live.
2.) I already have more then 60 Xbox games since owning one in February this year (calculate that out and it's a lot) and they're gonna get pissed because why would I spend more money when I already have "more then enough" games to play
3.) I dont own a credit card, my dad gave me his and checks it every month to see I'm not buying crap (unless it's school related).
4.) I'm just seeing if it charges for the two month trial. If it doesnt, then I'm gonna buy the $70 starter kit (with the 12 month card) that way it wont show up on the bill.

Any other questions?
