They dont take up too much space, just place the speakers on the walls, they can hang. The sub can go someowhere on the floor in a corner or something. I have a tiny room and I made it work.

I have an odd setup. The bed is in the livingroom which is in the same space as the dining room/kitchen. So I only have 3 walls for speakers. 2 of them would be in the middle of the room and in the way. Not to mention the 50 feet of wiring I'd need and would subsequently trip over.

Is the whole set 100 Watts total or 100 Watts each speaker?

Each speaker accepts 100 watts. This doesnt include a reciever so its not 100w total output.

i wouldnt even waste your money on this since you need to buy a receiver separately, since once you factor in the cost of a receiver (at least $100) you are paying $200 for a low end system. You would be better off just buying a receiver and real speakers (i think Polk R30s which were considered decent speakers are on sale somewhere for $40 each which would give you much better performance and more versatile)
