...I probably still wouldn't have played through everything.

I was thinking today that my last couple of purchases have assured me a lot of gameplay. I have bought...

Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy VIII
Final Fantasy IX
Arc the Lad Collection
Final Fantasy Chronicles
Chrono Cross
Dragon Warrior (NES)
Dragon Warrior III (NES)
Advance Wars
Golden Sun (but to be fair, I'm almost done with this one)
Skies of Arcadia: Legends

and for the non RPGs

Mystic Heroes
Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo
Beyond Good and Evil
I-Ninja
Metroid Prime
NBA Street Vol. 2
Robotech: Battlecry
SpiderMan the Movie
Super Mario Sunshine
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4
Viewtiful Joe
Genghis Khan (NES)
Life Force (NES)
Tecmo Bowl (NES)
TMNT (NES)
Super Dodge Ball (NES)
Conkers Bad Fur Day (N64)
Super Metroid (SNES)

These are all games that I haven't even opened or played. With the exception of some of the NES games that I have played before...I could stop buying games and just play these for the first time.

Of course I'm not going to stop buying games, but I just realized how much I've bought recently. Wow.

if I stopped for a whole year...I'd probably wither and die from withdraws or something to that effect.

Oh believe me, they are on the list. But before I get into a game like that I make sure I have the time to play in advance.

I'd be sitting hip deep in a pile of unviewed DVDs instead of unplayed games. On the waiting list:

Bombastic
Final Fantasy X
Guilty Gear X
Klonoa 2
Onimusha 2
R.A.D.
R-Type Final
Rygar

Freedom Fighters
Skies of Arcadia
Sonic Mega Collection
True Crime
Viewtiful Joe

If only I could let go of Culdcept...

Heh, I guess I was being unclear, but that's the list of games I'm waiting to play. They've all been purchased (thanks to this site).

If you have never played it. Super Metriod takes precedent over all others. You got one complete, now complete the game (I know its crappy, but I wanted that complete version!!!!!)

I dont think I'll buy any games for at least a year. I havent bought any in about three months. I got my self into an embarassing amount of debt buying games (and other shit of course) and I still have about ten games that arent even opened.

Actually in the end the instructions weren't included. So I'm still hunting those down.

If I stopped buying games for a year, I could retire at the age of 21.

If I stopped buying and working to buy games for a year I would've had a car and time for a girlfriend. I am playing a lot of cheap games from eBay and other new ones but I still have a lot more to go. Thank God summer's almost here.

If I stopped buying games for a year, I'd probably spend at least half the money I would have spent on games on CD's. In fact, I bought a lot of rock/metal CD's before I started buying games on a regular basis (There's a link to a list of CD's I own in my sig if you want to check it out).

I have a lot of games that I need to play through myself. But there's too much stuff I want to own someday for me to stop buying games now.
The advantage of this, however, is that I have enough to play through and keep me occupied until I a PS2/GC game I want drops in price or goes on sale somewhere.

I did stop for about a year and had money, then I stopped wasting my money at clubs and on alcohol and used it on games again. Point is I'm a lot happier with the games than the wasted time, and now I have a decent "to play list" that will soon include F-Zero GX, and already includes Star Wars Rebel Strike, Turok Evolution & Zelda CE for Gamecube, and a long overdue whirl on FFTactics for PS1.
