Tenchu excels in every way that counts, provides a lot of fun, and is well worth the price of admission. 5 out of 5 stars.

I was surprised... this is a relist of the GT4 auction. When I dropped the price from $29.00 to $0.01, ebay gave me a 95 cent refund off the listing fee! That's cool.

You might want to put the word "auction" in the title.

Bump, this game absolutely freaking rules. My GF let me borrow her PS2 and I've been tearing the house apart trying to find my copy of Tenchu. I imported the soundtrack from Japan.. love this game!!!!!

And it's not one penny, is it?

Do you really feel it's necessary to lie in the subject title?

It's $4.89 minimum.

1 - is it sealed or just...ahem..."new"

2 - original or greatest hits?

3 - just curious...if you are located in lancaster, that means i'm not too far from you. if i volunteered to drive to your house to pick up the item to avoid the shipping expenses and it only sold for 1 cent, would you actually part with it considering you're gonna make most of your profit from this item from your shipping charges?

electrictroy

1- No. It's the EBgames definition of "new".

2- Good question. I don't know if it's GH or not.

3-a- I'd still charge you for fees *if* you incurred any. For example, if you decided to pay me with a check, and it bounced, I'd charge you the $20 bounced-check fee from my bank. Or if you paid with credit card, I'd charge you the 1% transaction fee. ----- I'm selling my games so I can pay my rent/bills, not to give stuff away for free. Sorry.

3-b- I'm *not* making profit off my shipping + handling fees: $1.88 for actual ship + $1.00 for envelope + $2 to drive to the post office = about $4.88 total

But I'm in North Carolina right now, so no, you can't come pick it up.

WTF? I was watching a GT4 auction and it magically transformed into Tenchu...

Hey OP, I would be really pissed off (as in, neutral/neg feedback pissed off) if I ordered a "BRAND-NEW" game and it wasn't sealed. This is precisely why a lot of people hate EB. By this definition, most of my collection of played games is "brand new."

As for shipping, yes, packaging is a legitimate expense, guys. If it comes to approximately $3 bucks for shipping and packaging, it's not all that unreasonable to have a $2 cushion. I've come to realize that when selling games, you can't be certain how much it will cost. There's always some brutally knowledgeable postal employee that will whip out some BS rule and say you can't send it using X service because of the size or color or moon stage or whatever. In the end, let it go and think about the shipping price when you enter your bid (how much "total" am I willing to pay?).

Here's a real shipping scam. I ordered a textbook last year, and it came to $50 plus $40 shipping. And the douchebag wouldn't even ship it Priority when I asked him to.

for any normal cartridge, cd, dvd and the appropriate case/box and instructions, you will not be charged any more than $3.85 to send it anywhere in the lower 48 states via priority mail, and the box is free. and let me just play along with the $2 travel expense...if that really is the case, then you should just set up auctions in groups and spread the $2 across multiple items so not any one person has to pay $2 for a trip that you would probably make anyway to pick up your own mail.

as for the original vs. greatest hits issue, don't you have access to the item? it should be easy to tell if it is a greatest hits edition by the obnoxious neon green on the cover.

and regarding book scams, i would highly recommend not using the ecampus.com website to sell back your used books. they are screwing me over right now...claiming that my stuff didn't show up, and i'm always extra careful. i sent another group of books to moneyforbooks.com on the same day and they had my check to me in 15 days. it's been over 7 weeks now, and i'm supposed to believe that ecampus never got my stuff.

I just got home. I checked. It's GH. Question Trent: Do *you* have access to your games when you're at work?

re: The Title. If I had said, "1 penny shipped" then yeah... I'd be lying. But that's NOT what the title says. The title lists the PRICE, same as the Ebay auction page lists $0.01. Do you think Ebay's auction page = $0.01 is mis-leading?

I swear, *some* of you people act like you've never shopped via mail-order before. You act like you never heard of S&H before. Stop pretending to be ignorant and/or surprised to see a S&H fee. I *know* you're smarter than that.

Stop trolling/baiting.

Well Troy, most CAGs treat each other with some respect rather than as blind customers, so we don't usually bait each other in with "OMG 1 PENNY" topics.

btw, you're the one who is playing dumb, since you know "1 penny" will get a lot of people to look at it but instead of being a good guy and putting the real final value in the subject, you are hiding behind silly technicalities.

Well, no. But if I was selling something, and somebody asked me a question that I couldn't answer at that time, I'd probably say something like "I'm not sure, I'll check the item when I get home" instead of just saying "I have no idea" and then respond with attitude later when the interested buyer expresses any kind of confusion with the seller's inability to explain an obvious detail of the item.

Tenchu is a damn good game. Well worth the 1.99 I paid for it really new at CC + 12 cents tax + 36 cents gas a few weeks ago.

Thank you Shrike. I don't understand why these people think they have to keep *harassing* me?

- if you think $4.88 is too much for S&H, shut up, and don't bid.

- and $0.01/1 penny *is* the price for the game. You don't walk into EBgames and see games listed as $10.60. It's just $10.00. The buyer knows there's an additional tax.

- Same applies here. The buyer understands it's $0.01 + shipping cost. (Did you really think I'd sell a game for 1 penny, and lose $5 in shipping costs? C'mon. You're not that stupid.)

Stop trolling/baiting.

However, listing the initial price if misleading. Now, if you had a 1 penny buy-it-now, even with that S&H fee, you might have had a case.

The penny is not the price of the game.

It's actually $0.01 + ending price - $.01 + shipping cost.

As you can see, the $.01 is cancelled out, and doesn't factor into the price. It's just a dishonest advertising tactic.

Can't you send the item via first class mail if you get the small envelope #0 (when you are looking for that type of envelope) and send it like that. It should cost $1.49 (last time I remember doing this) anywhere in the united states, I think the exception will be PSO, puerto rico, or something like that. Also the #0 envelope should be cheaper.

Listen to this guy. You really should label the game as mint instead of "brand new". Brand new means sealed (original packaging, etc.). You've already gotten feedback for calling opened items brand new... it's not worth risking a neutral/negative.

I'd suggest checking local EBs and local Blockbusters first. $1.99 Used at EB, $6.99 NEW at Blockbuster.

Actually, you're not as much the wounded lamb as you're claiming here.

You deleted a few posts, which were obviously responses to peoples' comments to you, and I decided that they were better in the public view, since with them there, it erases a bit of the "persecuted user" syndrome you're claiming.

You should have thought that maybe, with the title not being as clear as it should have been, it might draw a few flames?

Come on, you're not that stupid, just like one of your posts towards another user.

I think we're done here. I highly recommend you be very very clear when you're posting an auction topic, since you're quite the moth, drawing flames.

I know I have better things to do that police your threads, and I'm not the only mod to think so. Take a hint, please?
