Okay so I get up one morning and try to get in some early morning Phantom Dust, when my xbox says it can't read, ditto for Max Payne 1 and 2, as well as deus ex. A few days later X-men Legends stops working and my copy of Halo 2 (my second copy, mind you) fluip flops on me, hell I was playing on Live and I couldn't even load one of the MP maps. today I get my pure pinball, fresh from the factory and it doesn't want to work either and finally the strwaq that broke the camels back; my Doom 3 CE refuses to play! :bomb:

What am I to do? I want to open it up (long pass warranty) and take a gander, maybe it's dusty or something, but the xbox has some wierd-ass screws. I want to send it to M$, but I don't know how much they charge, nor where to send it.

Could someone please be a pal and tell me what I should do, cause if SC:CT craps out on me, I might have to get physical.

open it up and clean the lens/ blow the dust out w/ canned air. or try a dvd lens cleaner on it. if that doesnt work then the laser may need to be re calibrated.

and those screws are inverted torx.

Also, why not adjust your title a bit. "Fucked" is in such poor taste and makes you less intelligent than I know you to be.

Just a thought.

Thanks for the advice and I adjusted the topic title a bit, I didn't know the ole worder changer doesn't mess with the topic title.

If you have a 1st gen xbox, you might be able to have MS foot the bill (if you didn't yet crack it open). They got a class action suit filed against them and I believe they are obligated to fix the issue.

yep. try a DVD lens cleaner first before ya do anything drastic. It might just be a dusty lens.
