I noticed a few things wrong: like the game list to order games is not alphabetical (boy would that be miserable). And the price is a bit steep. But this DefectDS guy did an awesome job. Also, I sure hope that old, defunct hardware gets emulation support from their respective companies (notice Sega Genesis on the list...). That would rock. And it would be free money for those companies that are never going to make any money off of their old property as it now stands. And that eCard idea would be cool. Not only would you not need to mess with a credit card everytime you wanted a game, but parents could charge up the electronic "card" and give their children a monthly "allowance" of new games, much like the service available through iTunes.

Too bad the revolution won't look like that.... it would be cool if they released a limited edition "NES" version of the Revolution that looked like that concept art ~

The word on the street says that it does. But there is not an ethernet port. :? You have to have a wireless router. Their reasoning is that most homes are already wireless, so having a lan port would just add unnecessary cost. And since wireless routers are pretty cheap now (and will be even moreso in a year), they see no reason to have everyone pay for the feature. Also, rumblings say that Nintendo is planning on releasing their very own router. Which reminds me, I want to start a speculation thread...

He's got it sorted by system, its got an option to be ordered by name. He saw your call and raised you 3.

Yes, but the name option would likely include all systems. SNES is highlighted and the order pictured is:
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
Super Mario World
Super Mario Kart
Completely out of order (although all "S"s). They should still be in an order within the "System" category. That, indeed, would be miserable. I'll see his three, raise you a million. Royal Flush. I win!!!

I love the fact that game systems listed has Sega Genesis in the list.
The SSB box looks amazing. I bet Nintendos won't be as good as that.

Yeah, I'm sure it won't happen right off, but they would be insane not to bite! (Same goes for all of the other now defunct hardware manufacturers with IPs just collecting dust.)

I dunno. The stylings are snazzy, but the composition of the images is a bit amateurish. Really crowded, mainly.

"WiFi" is spammed everywhere, Wireless Fidelity is only used to connect to access points, it should say online enabled or something.

But they are chronological...
Look, start at Mario World and go down. Then just imagine that the list loops back to the beginning when you reach the end. Mario RPG is the last one released of the games displayed..
EDIT: Nevermind, didn't see Super Tennis at the bottom...there goes that theory...

It's the logo that Nintendo put on their Revolution prototype shown at E3 this year, so at least for now, that is the system's logo. I wouldn't be surprised if it changed, however, since Nintendo still claims that the system's official name will not be "Revolution." (Riiiiiiiiiiiight.)

Very creative and classy designs. Of course, we all know Nintendo's efforts are going to come nowhere near this :(

Also, that idea would mean that those were the only games for the SNES. It wouldn't loop that small.;)

I know this was a few months back, but remember Project Dolphin? Yep that was the gamecube's unofficial name. I think i saw a little picture of a dolphin with mario on it too. Kinda funny since the Mario released for "Project Dolphin" was Mario Sunshine on a tropical island.

it looks nice, but not like i couldnt do that in photoshop in a little bit, except maybe the smash bros case, that would be tricky compared to the other stuff.

Nintendo makes alot of poor assumptions......
side note:
16 players SSBM would be total chaos, and off the charts fun!

Are they serious about that wireless thing? Ugh. I hate wireless. We just got it for my internet here and it's horrible. It's like running 56k. Not all wireless is reliable ... why don't they just jam a port in there?

Buy a cheap wireless router and wire it a foot from the box. Should be pretty reliable then unless your system is on the microwave.

Wireless is amazing, and even the slowest of wirless (B, weighing in at 11Mb/s) is far faster than any residential broadband internet. If your wireless is going the speed of 56K, you've got something setup wrong.
Solely wireless would be the way to go, but really for a console, unnecessay, as it's main directive would be to get online. Not many people are going to carry this console around. ;)

4.99 is too much for a download like that. It shouldn't be more than $1.99 for first party games.

Well, if its a download-to-own, that's not too shabby (compared to preowned classic games), especially if they price each game individually, as opposed to "$4.99 for all SNES games"... though at the same time, $4.99 for Chrono Trigger isn't too bad, if the non-Nintendo licenses have been worked out.

I still say $.99 like iTunes. Hey, the console and remote... I mean controller look like Apple products, why not the service too? And all games should be that price, not just first party. It is all profit, afterall...

I don't have a wireless router, i have a router that does me fine. Don't need to go buy one just so i can play those games online. Ugh, i wish they would include an ethernet port.

I think the box art looks too busy. I like the characters on the sides, but the center is just way too busy with lots of characters and layers upon layers upon layers of imagery.

True - It's better than the $20 they're charging for old NES classics on the GBA. Which, btw, sell incredibly well.
