Anybody else here a Weezer fan? I was trying to think of a list of their 15 best songs but it's tough so I thought I would leave it to the CAG community
I've been a fan of Weezer since the "Blue Album", and I have to go against the "I like their older stuff bettar" grain and say that the "Green Album" was their best work to date.

Fan here.
Picked up their video collection on DVD for about $5 used at ebgames a while back. Was pretty happy about that.
I like most of their songs. Couldn't get into Pinkerton tho.

Yes. 15 best? ... I don't think I can do that. I'd say Blue + Pinkerton, but then you end up with 20.
How about this:
01 Say It Ain't So
02 Say It Ain't So
03 Say It Ain't So
04 Say It Ain't So
05 Say It Ain't So
06 Say It Ain't So
07 Say It Ain't So
08 Say It Ain't So
09 Say It Ain't So
10 Say It Ain't So
11 Say It Ain't So
12 Say It Ain't So
13 Say It Ain't So
14 Say It Ain't So
15 Say It Ain't So

Green Album > Make Believe > Maladroit
Best song EVER = "Across the Sea"

Pinkerton > Blue Album > Green Album > Make Believe > Maladroit
Best song evar = "Across the Sea"
Your use of "evar" completely invalidates your opinion. ;)
Also there should be much greater distance between Blue and Green. More like this:
Pinkerton > Blue Album >
Green Album > Make Believe > Maladroit.
Not even on the same level, see?

Hash Pipe, Undone (The Sweater Song), and Say it Ain't So are the best.

Great, now my post is completely useless. :bomb:

I have to admit "Across the Sea" has its charms ... what with an underage japanese school girl and all. ;)

I love Weezer. The way I would rank their albums or songs would vary day to day depending on my mood. It's kind of like that for me with any band I like. Today I'll go with Green Album as my favorite, but don't hold me to it.

I've been a fan of Weezer since the "Blue Album", and I have to go against the "I like their older stuff bettar" grain and say that the "Green Album" was their best work to date.
I agree and disagree with this, I can't forget everything that made the green album what it was, the good life, butterfly, el scorcho, pink triangle, surfwax america, the sweater song, buddy holly, say it ain't so, my name is jonas, I love almost every song they put out, but I really do love the green album too, I have listened to it at least 200 times, but I do like their older stuff better than the newer, the green album is currently the transition from old to new:
blue/pinkerton, green, malidrot/make believe
but all in all, weezer is the whip, I have listened to them since the release of the blue album (that and the offspring (smash) were my first two cd's. I paid 170 for 2 floor tickets to the detroit show off ebay after it sold out before I knew about it, but it was one of the best concerts I have ever seen, rivers and the crew have such energy. Even brian sang!
I don't get why everyone knocks Maladroit. I mean, I do get it... but I don't think they should. Granted, it's not their best, but it's still the shit.

damn right I am.
I love Weezer. I went to their concert three years ago.. they're coming either tomorrow or the 21st but i'm not going.. why? Mainly because I know they'll just be playing shit off their new CD, but the concert in 2002 was absolutely amazing. At the time, I don't think Maladroit had been released yet, so I was fed things from the Green album, the Blue album, and Pinkerton. Here was the setlist..
1. Death And Destruction
2. Why Bother?
3. In The Garage
4. Island In The Sun
5. Butterfly
6. No One Else
7. Don't Let Go
8. Pink Triangle
9. Undone - The Sweater Song
10. Take Control
11. El Scorcho
12. Buddy Holly
13. Hash Pipe
14. Tired Of Sex
15. Say It Ain't So
Encore
1. Keep Fishin'
2. Dope Nose
That was, without a doubt, the absolute best concert i'd ever been to, and i'd recommend 15 of those songs (remove Butterfly and Keep Fishin').

I went on a Weezer kick a few years ago and dug deep into the band and their work. I first heard them when Blue came out and blew up, but I totally missed Pinkerton when it came out and lost touch with what the band was doing until they resurfaced on the Yahoo Outloud tour.
I can't believe nobody has mentioned any of the b-sides, unreleased and rarity tracks they've done. It's some of their best stuff.

Can we give The Rentals - Return of the Rentals a mention as Weezer-related? That album is incredible, and easily stands up quality-wise to Weezer's work imo. Seven More Minutes was good as well, but not as good.

I don't care if everyone else has said it too. "Say It Ain't So", hands down.
"Holiday" comes in at a close second. I'm too lazy to make a list, but just know that it'd be primarily Blue.

Well once you put all of Blue on there you still have 5 spots left to show some respect to Pinkerton.
