King-Can you elaborate on how the VPU for the Revolution will compare to that of the Xbox 360?

JI- Both graphics cards will be state of the art. However ultimately they will be very different and serve two different purposes. The Xbox 360 is designed for multiplayer games and Microsoft wanted a console to continue on the same trend of the current consoles but wanted to add a significant graphical enhancement. Visually the Xbox 360 will be spectacular.

The Revolution on the other hand is going into unchartered territory. Into a new untapped world of gaming. It to will be graphically amazing however in a different way. It will be amazing in terms of immersiveness. You see it is not that easy to compare them. In fact it is like comparing apples and oranges. On one side you have the Xbox 360 which caters to the traditional style of gaming and then you have the Revolution that is going into a territory that quite frankly in new,exciting, and also scary.

If those NintedON videos were plants i will give the biggest Nelson styled "HA-HA" to all the nay-sayers. If its all a bunch of hooey, i'll still buy a revolution. either way, i win :)

if it is true, and they have good games that support it, wonderful...I hope they don't leave it behind like they did with the virtual boy, and gc gb connection thing.

I'm sorry, but I can't read it without a HUGE dose of skepticism. For starters, the DVD attachment WON'T play both Blu-Ray and HD-DVD. The costs involved with that would be tremendous, making the MSRP easily $200+ dollars for the attachment alone.

Now, if this all does pan out to be true, I will allow anyone here to kick me in the balls with steel-toed boots. Hopefully this post will be long forgotten about by then.

You know, I'm pretty sure I've seen somewhere someone say look to the past for the future (of Nintendo). We see it with the Game & Watch to Nintendo DS.
Speaking of the DS, I've been trying to think of a quote (Shiggy or Reggie...?) from Nintendo that said something along the lines "Only 10% will get/buy/like it. " and they said more will eventually 'get' it or whatever - anyone know what I'm thinking of?
