My cousin said he saw a guy yesterday on Live with the rifle from Splinter Cell, fully automatic.. I think he might've been telling a little lie.

Awesome! Bungie is doing the banning themselves and banning them from Halo 2 matchmaking which means there will be more and faster bans!! So happy!

There is a modified fully automatic rifle, but I don't believe its the one from Splinter Cell.

I was watching some friends playing online on burial mounds, 4v4 slayer, when near the end of the match, an elite player model that was taller than any of the mountains on the map appeared in the sky. It was fucked up. The community has screwed up that game so bad. I only play system link anymore.

That's not cheating. Its a graphics glitch that has no benefits whatsoever (besides looking pretty cool).

i am glad they are taking care of things online...but the amount of cheating in halo 2 on live, is no where near what it is like in other games, on other systems

Cheating in Halo 2 is like cheating in CS:Source. It's retarded. They are both so easy, you shouldn't have to cheat.

So far its working, and I think a ton of people were banned becasue I got matched up in a 3 on 3 games. It also helped me get my 30 back.
3 or 4 of the 6 matches I played earlier involved some sort of bizarre stand-by'ing.

Sweet! And the giant Elite on Burial Mounds isn't cheating, its a glitch that my friends and i play with in custom games, we've gotten giant master chiefs, elites, swords, rocket launchers, battle rifles, any weapon really.

Finally. In the last few weeks I've seen a large increase in Halo 2 cheaters, and it is kind of annoying to be cheated on every 1 of 4 games. Now that this update has been released, I've been winning much more. Goes to show how many people cheat. How lame.

It's pretty easy. First things first, make sure you have a Wraith on the map. Have someone stand by the spire where the Plasma Pistol and Ghost spawn. Stand on the side of the spire facing the Offense spawn area, crouch while facing the spire.
Then, someone in the Wraith has to ram the person against the spire. Eventually, you'll push the other person through the level's geometry. The person who gets pushed through will invariably die, and they need to watch the Chief model very closely. Eventually, it will appear as though the model has hit ground, even though it's nothing but blank white open space.
If and when that happens, look in the sky. You should see huge models of the Chief and whatever weapons that have landed on the invisible floor floating in the sky.
