My local gamestop has a copy of Lunar: SSS in the used game bin. The case is in great condition - no cracks or anything, so i'm guessing it was taken care of. They're asking $29.99 for it, and it's been re-sealed in plastic.

I may be interested in buying it if it were complete, but i'm not able to check that out. Will gamestop allow you to open them prior to purchasing to check out the contents of the game and the condition of the discs?

Another question, is $29.99 worth it?

Thanks.

Yes. They opened Arc the Lad Collection and Silver Star for me. They were cool about it. You just have to ask.

29.99 is a great deal for a great game! i remember buying it for retail, wasn't it 59.99?

Wouldnt Complete technically mean it would have to have that collectors box, the book, and the map? If its just the 4 dvd case then there wont even be a manual inside there.

Depends, there was a second version of the game which didn't come with all the extras.

Right. There's the Fan Art version, which has a picture of a few of the Lunar characters on the cover of the case. The collector's edition has a picture of a sword on the cover of the case. Either way, it's a decent price for the game.

The Collectors' edition comes in a big box with the characters on the case. The fan edition is the sword cover art/jewel case version.

Either way, $30 is a good deal, better than the screw jobs you'd be faced with trying to get this thing on ebay *cough*personal experience*cough*.

The jewel case version with the sword on the cover is just the collector's edition without the extras. The fan edition has a picture of several of the characters from Lunar on the cover.

Didn't know that... never saw the fan art edition. :p

Still a good deal nonetheless.

I never even heard of the fan art edition until now.

It's pretty rare, but not all too valuable. I've heard rumors that it was an EB exclusive, but I have no idea if that is true.

this is the one w/ the picture of the sword hilt on the cover - and no screenshots on the back - just an art work of an anime girl :)

The fan art edition has the same cover as the outer box for the collector's box set, and it has a slimmed-down manual with the sword on it.

:applause: Nice deal, but they are talking about the PS1 version of the game.
