Out of all the VU Games links I've signed up for, I've never gotten a confirmation e-mail once. However, I have been receiving egm, cgw, and opm. It does take several months I think to kick in. I'm getting issues until 2007 on egm, 2008? on cgw, and of course just six months on opm. But then again, I signed up for pretty much every vugames link there is, including the ones found on slickdeals... Another thing you may want to try is the free egm/ebgames digital subscription that was supposed to expire (then switch it to the print version)
try this link (i got e-mail confirmation on this one, but i'm not sure if they added an extra year to my subscription) ;(

Update it's been 3 months since I have done the Register VU Games get free SUbsicription deals and never once got a confirmation email...It is obviously a broken deal that has been left on the site...why arnt there many video game free subscriptions here? it makes me sad I want an EGM (non digital...too much a pain) subscription or my PSM sub back but never can find a free sub for them...any help?

Wow, nice to know somebody(s) here misses me. Yeah, that whole "life" thing kinda keeps me occupied, but I had a better reason for leaving. Now that my school is pretty much out, I'll try to put up mag offers and posts if I can.
Hey, welcome back!
Glad to hear that you'll be around more. Don't worry about the offers; we're just glad to have you back here at CAG. :D

Thanks. Too bad they don't have the real Cosmo itself. My girlfriend would love that one. Still, at least its a different magazine from what people normally find.

If you follow the link in the OP one of the reward options is a 1 year subscription to the mag. You have to accumulate 3000 points to get the free sub but the magazine is supposed to be pretty good. This one involves a little work but for those of you who want it this will probably be worth it.

If I'm already subscribing to something.. lets say EGM.
How can I renew for more? do I just re-enter all my info to a new free subscription link? or are there special methods?

Just sign up for the offer and it extends your current subscription's expiration date. Just make sure if it gets switched to digital to switch it back to print.

This will be the last time I post any free magazine subscriptions for a while. This site has gotten out of hand and it just isn't as enjoyable to me like it used to be. Its at the point where the inmates are running the asylum and its commonly acceptable to act like an asshole. I posted these deals because I wanted to help out my fellow CAGs, not treat them like shit. There's plenty of other sites I can go to post at where being a jerk is still frowned upon. So, sorry to all the good people on this site and I apologize that I wont be able to help you anymore. I'll try to convince my b/f to post some deals here, since he gets them in his emails everyday.

Thanx for your support everyone. Its really flattering, especiallly to those of you that asked me to refer you to any other site I might post deals at. It sucks that bad people have to ruin it for everyone, so I'll try to post deals on occasion. When TSD stopped posting the ads for a while because of the same exact reason I stopped, it really hurt the site's credibility. My friend's always tell me that the early weekly ads and the free mags were the only constant realible deals on this site. I really missed the early ads, and I can see that you guys would miss these deals. I'll do my best to keep posting the deals here, but I probably wont post in any other threads, since this is the only one I'm apparently safe in. Thanx again to everyone who supported me.

Hmmm, I got a weird phone call from the "Publishers" asking how my subs to Sporting News (which I've just started getting) FHM (haven't gotten) and Maxim (haven't gotten) are. They also thanked me for paying for my subscriptions etc, then proceeded to try to charge me $19.16 a month for *postage* of the magazines for the next 30 months. I told them there was a mistake somewhere and I didn't want their service to which they said thank you and hung up, hopefully that's that.

You're right, this wasn't the actual publishers of the magazines they were some company calling themselves "the Publishers" and were just selling subscriptions to magazines at an inflated "shipping cost" of 19 dollars a month, when infact you could just subscribe yourself to the magazines for 19 dollars a year. Perhaps some others have gotten a call from them? The link I used to sign up to the Sporting News is no longer on the front page.

Do not try a waste of time. I did the survey offer after 15 min of pain it told me;
These are your instructions on how to claim your
free PC Magazine subscription:
You must have signed up at http://pcmag.freebiepeople.com, agreed to

process. This included entering your name and address, selecting a
third
party offer, and getting at least 5 friends to signup and complete

Know that you are only eligible to receive the PC Magazine if you
successfully signed up for one of those third party offers AND if you
got
at least five friends to signup and successfully complete an offer.

THanks, ordered muscle & fitness for the super CAG price. After ordering though, I was wondering how secure this site is. They are telling me not to contact them until 13 weeks and that I shouldn't expect an issue for 3-4 months?
It's legit, usually takes the standard 1-2 cycles instead of 3-4.

I'm starting to think that it doesn't matter what you put really. I know I put that I work in retail, but they send me emails for some things (like Horse Illustrated) that have nothing to do with my job. Once you've been with them for awhile (like I have), they accept you for pretty much every magazine they put out.

I think anytime you fill out a new subscription it adds on to what you already have. After I read your post I went to go check my account, last month I had 11 issues left, now I have 34. So basically i'm set for the next 3 years.
So to answer you, yeah.......they stack on from the looks of it.

What industry/job is recommended to actually be able to get the magazines on Mercury? I tried with the Sporting News link a little earlier in this thread and I couldn't get it to let me select that magazine. Now I wanna get EGM but I have no idea what to select for the job and such.

I'm talking more specifically about Sporting News, incase that wasn't clear. I managed to get the site to let me order EGM, but for the life of me I can't figure out the right combination of industry/title/blah blah blah to let me order Sporting News.

The FHM link in the OP sends me to a Stuff Magazine subscription. Is there a good link for a free FHM subscription?
Also, in response to the OP, Hardcore Gamer is trash. I would have cancelled my free 6 issue subscription had I known how. Yes, free is too much for that magazine.

personally i love hardcore gamer. and as of late i hate PSM since it seems like they dont even play the game they review. For example play godfather and read the review on it. It's terribly inaccurate.
