All freebizmag links require a credit card and they charge you for the subscrition till you cancel then the give the money back to you. i tried it and thats what they did to me.

I just used my friend's old retail job (ironically at TRU). I didn't sign up for PCPhoto, but they (freebizmag) sent me that offer directly via email, which means Id probably get accepted. I get about 2 dozen mags from them, so maybe they just willingly give me whatever they have. I'm not sure if the job type completely influences their decisions based on some of the magazines they've sent me. I hope that helped.

Never happened to me when mine ended. The CGM link should work if you get accepted. Just give it a try.

It worked for me when I started receiving OPM, but my subscription was short and it ended already. Maybe its too late; I signed up for that earlier this year. Either that, or they realized that no one was buying the games, so canceled the whole idea.

I wouldn't know. I've gone all the way through before selecting "no" everytime till it eventually ended, never having to pay for anything. I already subscribed to that magazine, so I'm not sure if it worked or not. If cautious, then I suggest avoiding it with the other Maxim, Stuff, and Wired links from that site. I know for a fact that the Playboy link requires an offer.

Just send them an email and say you want to convert your subscription to print. You might need to follow up with this though- it took me 2 emails to finally get it switched over.


As for the EGM/OPM thing- i'm getting an EGM subscription till like '08, but am not getting OPM, even though I signed up for a bunch of them. It's not listing me as a subscriber on their site either. Maybe those vugames links didn't work for OPM.

Here is a free sub to CIO Insight. It's for IT folk, although this would be a great mag for anyone who wants to learn about that type of stuff. I haven't had a chance to try it myself though since I just got it in my inbox. You need to "qualify" so just answer the questions to make it seem as if you're in IT. Oh yeah, this is only available until October 21st. So make sure you sign up before then.

The cheapest subscription I've seen is $5-6 a year on eBay. You can call OXM up and add a disc to the subscription for $1 per issue. It's only ends up like $5 less than the $24.99 subscription price, so it might not be worth it.

Hardcore Gamer is a awesome magazine. We had a free promotion listed here a while back and i would actually pay for this magazine. It doesnt have all the stupid bullshit gamepro has. It doesnt have the stupid bias like PSM and OXM. It talks about old games(my favorite section in game mags, even though many have already done away with it), it talks about latest moding affairs and actually have great articles and reviews. If anyone can find more free promotions for this mag feel free to post it. thanks.
