Just won nintendo power strategy guides for these nes games:
final fantasy
super mario 3
ninja gaiden II
and 1 called "4 player extra", think it's made for multiple multiplayer games though I'm not sure.
Total was 15.51 (10.51 plus 5 shipping)
I hope the other guide lot I'm watching goes this cheap.

I think I might still have all of those, except for the Mario 3 which my sister and I used so much it's got pages falling out...

That's even better than the excellent-condition Mario All-Stars guide I got at a local shop for $4. :)

Those are Nintendo Power Issues ^_^
They used to have bimonthly strategy guides - The Four Score one is Issue 19.

That may be true, but the issue is dedicated to that game and it's a strategy guide. I also just checked wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_Power, it seems that the 4 are the complete set of guides issued. Mario and FF individually also tend to go for about what I paid total.

I love finding good guide auctions. Recently found a Harvest Moon guide for the PSX for only $26, while the last three or four have gone for $50-$70 a piece.

I used to have all those, back when I had a subscription to Nintendo Power when it first came out. I kept them until about 3 years ago then threw them away :(
