I won an auction on ebay and the seller emailed me if I was interested in this: Is this legit and he is selling ot for $350

His email:
I have this Sega Dreamcast developer system. This is what they gave to game companies to code the games on. Basically, it hooks up to your PC and you can code Dreamcast games with included software and then the games run off of the dreamcast. Very interesting indeed. I have a guide on how to get this working with your computer, and also have the software you need. This system was also once called sega 'katana' because it came out before dreamcast was released. See photos for some more details, note these are not actual photos of my unit, but it's exactly the same. Thanks!

I thought "katana" was the codename for the 32x?

Nope. You can't legaly distribute anything you make on that box without a license from Sega.

Besides, you can already develop Dreamcast games using consumer PCs.
