Wrestlemania 21 was a pretty big letdown.. actually.. a HUGE letdown.

Fuck if I know. I don't think I've bought a single game released this year. I'm a cheap ass.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms X.

I still love it but it's probablly the worst entry in the series as it sets a new standard for pathetic AI and severely limits your options for controlling cities other than your own, even if your a ruler.

I would say Pariah. The single player was okay, but way too short and the storyline was weird as hell.

The map editor was decent, but the online play is terrible. There really is no sense of purpose or direction, IMO. The entire set up is just so messed up.

The devs have brought out several patches for the PC version, which was even more glitchy than the Xbox, but we haven't gotten any kind of updates for the Xbox version.

WrestleMania 21 is a good one, but I'd go with Dead to Rights II: Hell to Pay. I was a big fan of the first game, and had high hopes for the sequel. I did the cover story for GI on it, and it was looking sweet. Then, the exec. producer left (going to VU and 50 Cent's game), and all hell broke loose. The game, in its finished condition, is friggin' awful.
Runners up: NARC, Tenchu 4, DBZ: Sagas.

Oh yeah, pariah, I forgot that, I knew wrestlemania would suck.

timesplitters 3 is a game I still have to play, but i dont want to waste my money on even a rent.

I am going with one that has not come out:

Shadow the Hedgehog.

This game looks really dumb and I am a huge fan of the other Sonic games.

It isn't complicated at all once you really get the hang of it--I normally don't play 3rd person shooters, and I was doing fine, control-wise.

My problem, however, is with the people I usually happen to get stuck with on XBLive. Usually small children that do not shut up about how violent the game is, spawn campers, and the obligatory bulldog jackass that seems to have a major problem with every other person in the game.

Though I suppose the same could be said for many other Live games. -_-

The sales figures for Psychonauts. Don't get me wrong, this is easily one of the best games I've ever played, but I guess it's selling like crap. There is no good reason why this game isn't the best selling game in years.

I remember that article and cover story. I felt that you really really hyped up that game far too much. I guess there was a tad of bias being shown;) It was pretty obvious IMO that the game wasn't going to be great as IMPO, even the first pretty much sucked. Personally, I didn't see the need for a sequel for it at all.

Riviera: The Promised Land.

Worst battle system i've seen since Breath Of Fire: Dragon Quarter. The point and click exploration was boring and made the game feel limited.

While not an absolutely horrible game, I was expecting much more out of it, but it just felt so bland. The enemy AI was just too easy to take advantage of, which made every battle end up being more or less the same as the last.

So far this year, I'd have to agree on WrestleMania 21. The game seemed to have so much potential in it, but yet, it still manages to be glitchier than all get out. I couldn't even get into this game as much as other WWE games. I am glad I only wasted about weeks worth of time on this game. (via GameFly; opened it, post patch, played for a little while, didn't like it, so I sent it back the next day)

NCAA Football 2006. It's better than 2005, but still doesn't even come close to carrying NCAA Football 2004's jockstrap. Don't believe all the mainstream idiots who call 06 the best ever, then write absolutely nothing about the actual football gameplay in their reviews.

:applause: Wrestlemania 21 was horrid for me. I knew I should of not bought it. I am not watching wrestling like I did back in the day, and I remember seeing the previews. So I am at BB trying to decide between WM 21 & Jade Empire LE. I got mutherfucking WM 21. I got lucky I sold it later that week on ebay for $44 bucks.

I liked WrestleMania 21. It was diappointing, but still was a solid 7/10 game in my opinion. I never had problems with glitches, and I still play it occasionally.

I'm thinking Killer 7 would top my list in this area, but I haven't played the final game yet, just an 80% complete demo at E3.

Most games I have purchased this year have been good, so I guess I'd have to list Street Fighter Anniversary Collection for Xbox. 3rd Strike was pretty good, but the Hyper Anniversary Addition was cheap and basically worthless, and the online play- the main reason I bought the game- is overpopulated with cheese players who use Ken to the fullest extent of his cheaptastic abilities.

I'd been watching and eagerly awaiting the release of this game as it went in and out of cancellation for years, only to have it be a big, average suck-fest. Thanks.

Destroy All Humans - I only played the demo, but it was god awful.

Star Fox Assault - It was ok, but far too easy. I want a Star Fox game to be hard and take multiple times to go through to find everything, not to suck my dick and call it a challenge.

Rengoku - I've never played it, but that devil robot on the cover looks kind of cool and the game is supposed to suck hard. Disappointing.

Oh shit, so glad someone else thinks BOF: DQ has the worst battle system ever. Riviera's battle system was really stupid; wtf type of a game doesn't let you pick your target? Game was hyped up way too much.

But I'd have to go with Shadow Hearts: From the New World. I bought the premium box. The first half of the game is interesting, but it all falls apart and the annoying battle system shows its true colors on the backdrop of a barebones story and craptastic "puzzle" dungeons. It was definitely rushed.

Wrestlemania by far. Pure garbage, most absurd glitchy piece of crap released on the XBox OR any current gen console this year so far.

Others from what others say: Killer 7, Star Fox Assault

Predictions for the rest of the year: Final Fight Streetwise (If it gets released this year.) Tomb Raider (for those that believe Eidos can put the series back in the game... uh-huh) Metroid Prime Hunters (Just got this gut feeling.)

My vote is for Wrestlemania 21, lucky for me I only rented it. What a steaming pile that is! How can you release something that is so buggy? Don't they pay people to test these things? My copy froze up within an hour during a replay. One of my friends got a 'fixed' copy that didn't look much better to me. This garbage is still $40+ used! WTF?

Ahhh, "bias" -- my least favorite word when it comes to game journalism. ;)

In my defense, what I saw at that early stage and what actually released were two very different things. There were a bunch of cool concepts that never made it in. Also, I try to give games the benefit of the doubt, and that's kind of what cover stories are about, for better or worse. I personally really liked the first Dead to Rights.

By the way, what does IMPO mean? Never heard that one.

I never experienced any glitches whatsoever on this game. Then again, I got a glitch-free copy of No Mercy on launch day. Maybe it's good karma from being such a staunch supporter of the WWF/E for so many years.

yea but there is a new development house taking over the series (who does make pretty good games) and they actually brought Gard back in (he made the original and then left Core)

I will give it the benefit of the doubt until it is released. As I said I have never enjoyed any of the Tomb Raider games so far and this is the first one that looks like it is going to be good.

on another note, most disappointing game goes to RE4. The abundance of ammo and lack of puzzles ruined the game

Final Fight Streetwise was fun as hell when I got to play it and it did feel like the 2D games. I was surprised by how much I liked it.

I'd have to say DBZ Sagas, SW Eps. III RotS, and Arc the Lad: End of Darkness as they didn't seem to turn out as good as I hoped they would be.

IMPORT. And no one picked it up yet. Midway says they probably won't pick it up.

And they added new stuff to the battle system but it just makes it tedious and annoying IMO.
