Holy shit i just got bite by a huge fucking spider! From what i can tell from its crushed god damn body it looks like this one. http://www.calpoison.org/public/spiders.html#2 The brown recluse spider.
Now i looked around and nothing says that i should die within 5 seconds but should i venture out to go to the hospital? I dont have a car and my friends (parents in vegas) dont seem to want to answer their god damn phones.
I dont feel sick and its been about 9 min....but damn to go to the hospital i would have to walk 14 blocks at night. Maybe i should call 911...........
ARGH i guess i will run there.......god damn it why does this stuff always happen to me. Wish me luck!

well, if you got bit by a brown recluse you should go to the Emergency Room immediately. Not that you are going to die tonight but.... if I told you what I heard about a person who got bit by abrown recluse you would definately want to go find out. call 911 if you don't have a car. They will pick you up in an ambulence.
I've seen pics of brown recluse bites and chunks of peoples flesh had rotted off because of it. I would go to the hospital NOW.

I can just see the headlines- 'Avid video game fanatic found dead on sidewalk twenty yards away from hospital'. Did he not think of calling 911? They have that nifty little ambulance that picks you up from your house.

If you are still in doubt, you might as well go to the hospital. If you can't pay, just tell them that. Work out a payment plan, or if that won't work, they'll have to write it off. Don't know if they have a law like here in Texas, but here you cannot be turned down for medical care just because you cannot pay.
I true cheapass would never go to the ER unless they have been shot in the head, chest or balls or if they lost a limb.

Yes and no. We killed a lot, but most of the stuff is still here to some extent, including the dangerous animals. They're just not very dangerous. Bring back wolves and coyotes (both of which are on the outskirts and do occasionally enter the suburbs and kill a dog or cat. Coyotes occasionally are seen in the town next to mine) and bears and you brought back all the dangerous things. Wolves and coyotes run from humans and they're less of a threat than other predators (ie. mountain lion). Bears you still get in rural or woodsy areas, and they're the only real dangerous thing since they have no problem defending themselves instead of running away. But they have no desire to attack unless given reason (near their young for example).
There's tons of bears, wolves, catamounts etc. in new hampshire, maine and vermont. I really do hate hunters, and there's tons of them up there cause of all the wildlife. Hell, people kept telling us to watch our black newfoundland, since hunters were likely to mistake it for a baby bear. I wish someone would mount a hunters head on the wall for once.
This isn't a good area for reptiles, no poisonous frogs, snakes etc. and it's been that way even before europeans decided to go on a killing spree to take the land.

OH I just had a great idea. Just go to the ER and sit in the waiting room. Don't check in or anything just sit there and play your PSP, Gameboy, read, whatever. That way if you do pass out from the spider bite your already there and they'll take you right in! See that way you also won't have to pay for an ER visit if it turns out to be nothing.

Alrighty for those of you that care, it was nothing. The doc said "this look like a brown something spider, those are often confused with the brown recluse spider. In fact i had 2 people come in last week for the very same thing." Then he ran some test, drew some blood and let me go, was even nice enough to have a nurse drive me home.
Anyway I most likely should have called 911 but by cutting through and jumping over yard fences i made it to the hospital in about 10min. Meh with some ice I should be good within a couple of hours.
On another note, I dont really know what the hell you are talkinga about zonfire. I dont live in cali, sooooooooooooo i didnt really understand why you even said that. Also is there a reason by you try to bag on me all the time? Its just kinda creepy because your kinda like a stalker since your sole purpose of even reading my threads is to tell me to stop making threads. If you dont like me why dont you just ignore me? Meh I dont care either way.

Oh, OK. I know it's not the wasp/penis story I am thinking of, but I swear that a while back someone was bitten by a spider and was asking if they should seek medical attention.

I always check my shower and shake my shirts before I wear them. One time a scorpion flew out of my one of my shirts when I did that and it scared the shit out of me.

Yeah, but I haven't since Wednesday. I took Thursday and Friday off last week and I didn't have anything to do Monday besides go to the post office. :lol:

My vacation was supposed to be from Wednesday to the 15th, but I got shafted by my work so I'm coming back on the 13th. That means instead of getting 15th and 16th off, I have to come in to clean my shit up to move to a nice office (not complaining there).
Back onto the actual topic of the thread ... what happens if you get a brown recluse bite on your penis? Does it just fall off or something?
