It's a little risky try this. put in the drivers for the video card and the remove the old drivers for the old video card and then stick in that new card.

Just sounds like the monitor cannot support the refresh rate/default resolution that the card is set to.

Did you plug the card into the power supply?

Did you plug the monitor into the new video card output slot, or into the old video card slot? I did that back in the days!

Tried to enter the bios and disable the onboard video card but I have no friggin clue what I am even suppose to be looking for once I get into my bios. I see some headings called intergrated something or other but when I hit enter I don't see anything about video cards.

If you still have your old card hooked up, you might need to switch it to the new one in the display properties.

if your PC has an integrated card then u have to disable that one before you can use your new one...usually found in the properties....

go to control panel
open "system"
go to hardware tab
click on device manager
go to display adapters
look for your old video card - right click and click on disable
restart your computer and you should be using the new video card

For fucks sake, Steve Dave, you need to tell us what video card you got.
