"MFDOOM has created a hack to add a 4gb MS to the PSP. Pretty neat. Here is what he had to say:

Well, this is a simple hack I did which involves a memory pro to memory pro duo adapter which allows you to use a 4gb memory pro MS on the PSP rather then a $350 2gb memory pro duo MS.

It fits perfect on the back left side of the PSP if your facing it. I moded the adapter to the smallest I could so it would fit on the only place I could find to put it on the back. It fits perfect on the back right side (if you are looking at the back of the PSP) without sticking out the top or bottom. The memory MFDoomPSPMs4GB adapter is detachable and still allows the UMD slot to open and load any UMD's you might have. The memory slot door also closes with the small ribbon cable adapter running to the 4gb MS adapter unit on the back of the PSP. When you play on the PSP with the MFDoomPSPMs4GB adapter, it feels great, almost like its not there or a nice grip for holding the PSP during game play, controlling with it on had no effect on my game play. I fit 18 PSP games, SNES, NES, and Genesis emu's with roms with ease, all of them played perfect.

just got the Nyko PSP Home Theatre Experience (AMAZING) and once the PSP is in its upright position in the Nyko, the 4gb memory MFDoomPSPMs4GB unit sits in the back where you cant see while I watch 4gb of mp4 movies at good quality, none of this 15fps, you can convert now at 29.9fps with better sound as well. This is the first prototype made, there will be a version 1.1v coming soon which will include an even smaller MFDoomPSPMs4GB adapter unit, satin black paint, and a blue LED."

Very cool, I betting there will soon be even better storage for the unit. Meaning higher amount than 4gb and with less space taken up. This is great to see.

Now that's an interesting mod... and it looks doable.

OMG thats funny. I can just see an Ipod mounted to a PSP. That would be as huge as a Xbox and worth like what 800+ depending on your Ipod. haha

I got a 20G 4th gen Ipod I use nearly every day. I love it but I dont know about using it with my PSP. Seems wrong somehow.

More or less im thinking some sort of file program along with an adapter from the iPods usb cable to the psp's usb-in.

Simple in theory, but just isnt quite there yet. I think some people are working on it though
