It depends on what you base a "great game dynasty" on.
I haven't played the sims so I couldn't say.

Speaking of the Sims, where can I get a good deal on some of the expansion packs for it, the latest one I own is House Party and that itself is pretty old.

It isn't the greatest but it's a pretty good game. It does get repetitive after a couple of hours of doing the same thing over and over again. The series needs more "missions" like Bustin Out mode in the newest Sims games on the consoles.

I couldn't get into this franchise. I love the Sim City series though. I guess I expected this to play similarly.

When the sims first came out on pc I played it for days, but it took up too much space on my com. So I waited for the console games to come out. I got the game on Ps2 the first day it came out, and played it for like a day and decided it's kinda dumb. So although it is a great time killer real life is a lot better, and there are other games that you can waste as much time on and actually feel like you accomplish something......like Morrowind. And I like cheese so it works. LOL I love pain medication.

That was a long wait for it to come to console eh?
My g/f loves the sims, I however designed a house, which was cool, but that's all I ever did. But it could be considered the greatest dynasty. It's sold millions and has been almost the same game since release.

It's the most overpriced series, those expansion packs should only be $10

No. The Sims is a horrible series. Step 1: Use skill rasing item over and over. Step 2: Talk to people over and over. Step 3: Get job promotion. Step 4: Repeat.
Oh yeah, thats fun.

i actually find it quite entertaing for a long time. it is a real life simulation and it is a very fun game. yes i agree with tthe basic principle that is gets very boring after a while, but then you take a break from the game and come back later when you feel like playing it again!!
thanks,

It was a groundbreaking game that started much converstation with people who didn't know much about games, and were watching cultural themes, trends and phenomena. It was good for some, and maybe one of the best, but I hated it.

I thought the game was entertaining, but, as in all games, it has it's flaws.
I wouldn't exactly call it a DYNASTY, but it certainly deserves credit where it's due, nonetheless.

It was definately a sweet idea...But as stated, it just gets repetitive once you finish building a house. I got bored after 5 minutes of playing once the house was done... It was like virtual babysitting.

The Sims isn't one of the greatest game dynasties out there, but it's pretty damn close.

From a sales standpoint I think its one of the highest if not the highest selling ever.
I think the game is just okay, but to be fair I only have a lot of experience with the original. I found much of it tedious, especially trying to keep up with friends to advance in careers. I ended up just cheating. The only part I really liked was building my house, I spent forever planning that out. But I guess that makes sense since I am an Architectural/Structural Engineer.
