View Full Version : Razor PhoneTools Program Needed

Has anyone purchased a razor and recieved the disk that allows you to hook your phone up to your computer through the usb connection. I really would like to be able to transfer my pictures taken onto my computer and have the abilility to put my own mp3s on there for ringtones. A link to a program or a former user willing to part with his copy to me so i could hook it up would ne nice.

If you ever find out about this shoot me a message, I'm looking into that as well! Also, if you find the link to the Motorola video program that allows the Razr to take videos I'd appreicate it, thanks!

the video thing is not able to be done. They are releasing a rzr at christmas that has the ability.

No problem, I use mobile phone tools and it works great for basic things. If it doesn't work let me know.

it doesnt work. The download is fine but using the program is the problem. I always seem to be initialising and cant seem to ever get a signal. When i do its weak and im not able to use the multimedia center so i can transfer my mp3s over to use as ringtones. They just dont seem to recognise my phone. Im using a usb cable that syncs my mp3 player and when i plug it into the usb port it recognises my phone. What am i doing so wrong.

So it says something like found Razor when you plug it in? I bought a cheap usb cable for my V551 on ebay. It might be the cable. Did you upgrade Mobile Phone Tools?

actually i dont know if i have or not. I dont really see an option to do that. On that link you gave me i just downoaded mobile phonetools 3.11 but i know im problaby needing 3.25.

According to this, your V3 is compatible with the program.

You could also try every USB port you have. I think MPT comes with drivers but you could download them just in case.

They have the CD at the motorola direct store, but it look's like it's $30. Kinda pricey just for basic phone software.

The USB cable I bought on ebay includes the software.
