This was an everyday occurence at my friend, Adam's house when we were in high school. Except he was a crazy, lazy and bipolar. So instead of all the yelling coming from his mom, he would do a lot too.

Can't speak about this kids situation in specific, but its certainly possible its real. My sister and I lived with my mother after my parents were divorced and that video brought back lots of memories. I'm married with a kid of my own now and my household will never ever be like that, but some parents are like that I know my mom was.

Why is almost everyone saying that the mom is a psycho? We don't know the full story and for all we know the kid could be the biggest ass in the world and his mom just had the last straw. We only have the fact that the kid put the camera aside on the shelf and it 'happened' to be on when his mom started to get pissed. We don't know if the kid did something before the camera was turned on that might've started the fight. I'm holding back judgment until someone can verify that the mother didn't have a real reason to be upset.

The clip seems real; I got much the same treatment at home. Probably worse, since I took some good shots, also. Try getting the shit beat out out of you, then when the cops come, you're told to keep quiet, otherwise "you'll really get something to cry about". That's why I joined the Corps at 18 and loved it.

To me the kid was doing the right thing. You shouldn't let someone drive thats so angry. I'd love to be able to talk to the kid, and tell him, you'll live through it, and be tough as shit later.

Female dominated family. Every woman in my family, that I know of, has worked. This goes back to when they came from poland in the 1910's (I only know my mother's, mother's side, that's the only family we deal with and they're from poland.) The relationships are generally equal or female dominated, and the women were always the ones that were essentially the figureheads of the family, and the woman are who everyone remembers. Actually, even where I grew up almost all the wives had jobs and were either equal or in control (even out of the 2 families from india, one was essentially an equal partnership).

The concept of the nice little housewife who meets this guy and spends her whole life cooking and having babies is alien to my family. In my family if you don't work, people comment, regardless of gender (and no one in my family can really afford not to work). I've never really been exposed to male dominated families and doting housewives. To me, that weak willed thing on leave it to beaver isn't a woman.

Sexually, I love violent, aggressive women who can kick my ass. Personally, I like strong willed women. I hate weak, stereotypical women who always give into men, and I can't stand housewives.
