I'd ask around; I usually do Global Priority for boxed games, Airmail Parcel Post for cased games. Check the USPS, UPS, and FedEx websites or check with your local post office, FedEx office, and UPS office if you want to talk to an actual person.
Some Canadian traders will ask that you label the item as a gift worth $10 so they don't have to pay the allegedly absurd customs fees. Naturally, this will look funny if the item is also insured. :p
Pack it carefully and sturdily.
I have had no complaints from my business with Canadian ebayers; I have yet to do any trades on here or elsewhere with anyone from Canada though... only you can change that, friendly Canadian cheapasses!

I'm pretty sure Fedex and UPS are really really expensive to ship to Canada.
There are fairly cheap options through the USPS, but the main problem is you can't get tracking unless you go with a very expensive shipping option. Just be sure you trust the guy on the other end.

I can tell you that when I sent something to the US(I am in Canada) it was damn cheap with my local post office. And this was Xpresspost too.

USPS is the cheapest option. The only thing is you can't the $1.30 insurance (you have to do registered mail which is like $8) and no tracking.
