After that first crappy outing (Bruce Banner stealth levels? fuck off, Radical) they finally bring out, what seems to be, an amazing Hulk game.
IGN gives the ps2 version an 8.4, can't imagine the other systems will be any better or worse point wise. So far on Gamerankings, it's also scoring in the mid 80's.

They really seemed to love it... it seems to draw on all sorts of Hulk knowledge and gives the fans plenty to love. I thought the demo was awesome, and it is great to see the full version takes what is there and runs with it.
I was worried the game wouldn't last long after an initial playthrough, but IGN mentions a super hard difficulty mode, as well as under Lasting Appeal the game has tons of unlockables, including different costumes and skins.
I wanted to wait until it was cheaper, but having grown up on comics, it's VERY hard for me to resist when a game like this is done right, and I like to support it ASAP. Hulk was always one of my favorite comics, so this may be a day 1 purchase for me, even though I know it will drop price sooner or later.
One thing IGN noted was that the Gamecube version suffers slowdown, where the xbox and ps2 have none... that amazes and shocks me, since you think the ps2 version would be the worst.

I'm very, very, VERY tempted to get this (especially since I heard you could do things like pick up cars and use them as a shield then crunch them up around your fist and make a weapon out of them), but without XBox Live support and no huge fanbase (Sure, there's a lot of fans, but not enough to make this super popular), I can't help but think a drop will be quick.. i'll wait, but i'll rent it this weekend..

It just depends on how close you are to a distribution center and how quickly the employees actually open up the deliveries. I've gotten games on the ship date at GameRush before. But you are right, it will most likely be Wednesday.

What an amazing action game... this game lives up to the hype, no doubt.
If you've wanted to just be The Hulk and smash the shit out of everything, in addition to having an awesome combat engine, you should buy this asap.

Played it all weekend for review on X-Play. VERY good game. It's on par with Spider-Man 2 -- same thriving, open-ended city, way better combat and interaction, but worse story. Even Hulk's running up buildings and massive jumps are almost as good as Spidey's web-swinging.

Agreed - this game is awesome. I do wish the story was better, but who cares when HULK SMASH!

I played the demo and it was much better than Spider-Man 2. I actually prefered just wall running and jumping a lot in SM2 (instead of web-swinging) and Hulk does it much better, plus like you said much better combat.

Agreed. I'm suprised Activision had no hand in making this. This game is almost the EXACT same thing as Spider-Man 2.. or feels the same, anyways. And that's absolutely not a bad thing at all. I don't like the "defend the jksadbfjkbsd" missions, but I also never finished Spider-Man 2.. I ended up just swinging around the city. It's fun just to smash stuff up. I'm having a hard time not picking this up for $50, hopefully it'll be $20 by Christmas, but if there weren't so many other things coming out that I must have (Lockdown, Revenge, Far Cry, X-Men Legends 2, THAW, Battlefront 2, Battlefield 2), i'd pick it up. I'm glad that Hulk was finally done justice. This is a great game and I strongly recommend everyone pick it up.
Ha, what if there was Live on here.. can you imagine fifteen Hulks beating up each other and destroying the city?
