I'm a huge Pixies fan, and I'm also a huge Radiohead fan. Truth is, 50,000 people would not come out to support the Pixies, though you wouldn't get that from the crown reaction last night.

How did they sound? Good as ever?

I've never seen the Pixies before...I blew my only chance when they were opening up for U2 during the Achtung Baby tours. However, they completley rocked and sounded great. They blew through probably 25 songs in their hour set, very minimal between-song chatter, though Black did ask people to be considerate at the front and not crush people. They really were great, and for me, it was nice to be able to cross off one of the most influential bands of the last 25 years off on my must-see list.

They are making the rounds....who knows how long all this "peace, love and harmony" thing will work for them, so I'd recommend getting to see them when/if you can.

Lollapalooza 2004? Lineup looks OK...at least they are getting sorta back to the roots....

Gotta respect the Pixies, I saw them up in winnipeg. (supposed to be their first show back until they added the Minneapolis gig) They put on a great show, plus I met two of them at a bar afterwards, so it was an extra memorable evening.

Anyways, they only played for an hour at coachella?

My friend in Phoenix rented an RV and went with a bunch of her friends. Haven't talked to her yet, but I'm sure she had a good time.
