View Full Version : How Much Abuse Has You PSP Taken?

Mr. Anderson

Today I jumped up to touch the ceiling at school, and my PSP went sailing out of my pocket onto the concrete. Luckily it was in it's case, and it wasn't affected at ALL. I was sooooooo happy. My cell phone fell out too and cracked into two pieces. I thought it was my PSP for a sec and almost shit my pants. What stupid stuff have YOU done to your PSP?

Nothing. My PSP is in mint condition because I am an adult, and I take good care of my things... especially when they cost 250 bones. ;)

mine has take accidental abuse by my dog. She tripped over the charge cord and it pulled my PSP off a table, btu didnt suffer due to the great durability of the playgear case.

My girlfriend stepped on mine, and I practically gave her a Goldberg spear. Don't worry, she's okay though....... The PSP I mean, my girlfriend's paralized from the waist down.

It's worth the $20 just for the peace of mind. If it's in the case, you pretty much need to run over it with a semi to do any damage. Besides, what's another $20 when you spent $250 on a nice piece of electronics?

None so far, has been sitting tidy in it's playgear pocket ever since I got it.

I have been tempted to toss it to the ground in the case, just to see the look on peoples face and to test the cases "nearly indestructable" tag.

If I hadn't gotten the Playgear it would probally be in less than perfect shape. Right now it's in pretty good condition.

Damn my impulsive buying.

Can that playgear thing actually protect the psp from impact damage? The only thing I see is that the psp fit snugly onto that thing and I don't see how it could protect the psp from impact damage since the case doesn;t have any shock absorbing mechanism built in. (Imagine you are strapped into a coffin and someone drop the coffin from 30 feet stage, I bet you will be dead in it since thereis no shock absorbing stuffs in the coffin right?)

It's gotten smashed aroung, dropped, my cat knocked it off a high shelf (twice), and it has been baked in the car a few times.

It now has a small ding in the side, near the power switch, and I have more than a few premature grey hairs.

Mine's mint except for the nice scratch my father-in-law put in it. The Pocket has been worth every penny. Sony should just package the PSP with it so people aren't stuck with busted ass PSPs in the future.

It's a great time to be a cheap ass gamer.

I dropped mine once. . . on a concrete floor. Left some minor dings and scratches, but no long term damage.

Unlike evryone else I've been fevorishly playing my PSP, everyday for at least a few hours. What can I say? I'm an honest-to-god gamer :D

 You queer. Since my PSP tried to liberate itself onto the concrete, I've dropped it from the top of my shelf, and I've sat on it. I'm using it like a useful device, not a diamond encrusted with gold. I live in the real world, gotta use my stuff.

mine is flawless, but my friend has dropped 3 and broke every single one of them... the last one the store wouldnt take back so his dad bought him a new one and i sold it on ebay and got 120 bucks for it and we split it 50/50. so yay for my dumb ass friend!

I dropped mine for the first time Wednesday at approximately 9:18 PM EST. It's AC adapter got caught on my laptop and it fell from my bed to the carpeted floor. I spent 10 minutes staring at every millimeter of that beautiful, beautiful machine and could find no damage. PS I'm not embellishing at all.

Judging by the posts I've read in this thread I can pretty much say that we all treat our PSPs like a small infant.

The first time you drop it you have to look all over it to make sure nothing's wrong, however, the more times you drop it the less you care because you know that nothing happened on the previous drops.

Likewise, if a girlfriend stepped on my infant, I know I'd spear her.

I've dropped the one we had at work a couple of times... still looks pretty good. I was surprised too, since I thought for sure the first drop would kill it.

My personal one I treat with great care, however.

Mine has taken little abuse. I've dropped it around 3 times. There are little scrates on the case. And there is a scratch on my L trigger button.
