I haven't bought a used game in forever... I just want to give props to Gamestop on their awesome use of stickers, though. I got a used copy of Killer 7 for the Cube, and there were only two stickers on it... one with the price on the front, one with the barcode on the back.

Both stickers came off no problem, and it took about 10 seconds. Didn't need any rubbing alcohol, or any goo gone. Just a fingernail and that's it.

I know alot of people complain about EB's horrific stickering, but I think you at least have to give props to Gamestop's easy to remove, only put stickers where there need to be one methods. I hope when the merger happens the GS stickers will be the only ones used.

Bonus story!

I still have some used games from EB with those stickers... not only do they put the price and barcode stickers, but also this huge yellow circular one on the cover, and then they sticker it again with this giant clear sticker that leaves a funky residue.

Boo-urns!

Oh man, imagine if hell is like being a reseller but with EB stickers all over your games, oh the horror! But yes, GS' stickers do rock.

Yeah, they made the change to a different sticker a few months ago. It's so much better..

^^Few months back? More like over a year ago, while EB is still using their crappy hard to peel stickers, not to mention a sticker for everything they sell in the store.

Try 4 years ago, at least. They've been using the same stickers ever since I started working there. And yes, as long as they haven't been on for more than a month or so, they come off very easily. After a month or so though, they start to fragment like any other sticker, so be careful.

Hmm, maybe I've just been lucky on my purchases, because the 30 or so used games I've bought in the last few months have had this nice easy adhesive on the sticker...

The best stickers are Gamecrazy's, it's super easy and fast. However, fuck fuck fuck Blockbuster, those stickers are horrible

I don't think I've ever had an EBGames sticker come off completely. They are hideous beasts.

BB's is actually one of the easiest to remove, as long as it hasn't gotten wet.

Buying used games is so ghetto.

My OCD would never allow me to buy someone else's trash.

A hair dryer works wonders with stickers. I'm suprised people bitch about stickers so much.

I think it varies. There was a period about a year and a half or so ago where some stores had the good stickers, some stores didn't. Now they all have the good ones.

Though I hate eb's stickers, and they place them horribly. They even stuck them all over the complete ultima warriors of destiny (nes) that I bought the other day. I also got pinball quest complete, but the old owner never removed the shrinkwrap (just broke open the top to get the game out), so the stickers were all on the wrapper.

hair dryers are soooo 80s. Who the heck has so much hair they need a separate machine to dry it with? Only girls and hippies. :P
