There's a very good reason why the winning bidder has 0 feedback and is newly registered.
There's also a very good reason why that seller won't be getting his money.

Damn, I should do that...
But if the guy actually does pay up for it, we should spam the crap out of it for him paying that.

I think you'd be surprised as to how common auctions like these are
Gmail accounts are big too, I believe
Chances are, we seem every bit as stupid when we pay our auto-mechanics $400 to windex our exhaust manifolds to stop an annoying engine rumble. A lot of scams are childishly simple if you are "in the know" ...and when you are not, they seem perfectly reasonable.
...and either way, the continuous stream of threads about stupid ebay listings are boring and pointless. In my opinion. :) Do you really need to start a thread, just to say "Oh my GOD everybody LOOK at this ebay listing!"?

Seriously... why the hell would you pay $200 for a email account? I mean come on I'd rather buy 4 new games with that money :P

It had to be a scam, the guy prob has a friend "buying" it, and he builds up his feedback and whatnot, before he can scam for real, that would be my only guess, and make it look like hes selling these great items

I don't really get what he is doing. Is he selling a fake address? and why is it going so high?
brainstorm
08-22-2005, 05:37 PM
the address is probably real, but like i said earlier, hes prob driving up the price to make it look better for him in the feedback area, i dont really know to be honest, maybe hes trying to make it look like hes selling a ps3 or xbox 360 system for real instead of just this corny address
by the way, very nice signature, go sox

That wouldn't make a lick of sense. He is going to pay ebay and paypal tax on $405 item for a single feedback? If he was doing that, he would run an auction where you couldn't see the bidding history and on relatively small items.

Man, his Ebay seller fee is going to be a pretty penny with stupid auctions like that. (Especially if no one pays him)

Only reason he is doing this (if it in fact him) is to quickly gain powerseller status.
Do you guys notice that everyone that has bid on his items have had 0 feedback except a couple of people with 1 or 2?
