I need stiff analog sticks for Tiger Woods 2005-06. You know, ones that will stay on a straight line, no matter how much you screw up.

Preferrably for XBox, but PS2 ones are good, also.

Thanks.

I find the logitech has tight sticks on ps2, never played tiger woods on xbox though. I find the triggers terrible for that game

I wouldn't say that the Logitech Stick is extremely tight or anything special, although I honestly can't think of any stick in particular that made me say. "Wow, that's tight."

So, I guess this reply wasn't all that big of a help... ummm... free bump? ^_^

That's true.

It would also have to be a turbo controller also, because getting full power boost is annoying without one, especially on XBox.

I never even bothered with the boost ... I suck at tapping buttons.

Why don't you just play Hot Shots Golf?

It's just tap tap tap, no analog sticks.

Usually, the third party controllers seem to start off with stiffer controls than the first party stuff, but as it goes on, they end up getting really loose, getting to a point where any sublty of movement is lost.

As it is, just like most cases, you're best off sticking with the first party stuff, as you'll get the best consistant performance out of them.

I played for a long time online, but I had to move on. :(

And I don't have PS2 anymore.

I have found that when playing tiger woods hold the controller sideways and but the top of the stick in the palm of your hand. With the top of the stick in you hand make a motion like you are going to karate chop someone in the neck. This worked for me to keep the ball straight after time passes this will help you keep the stick straight when using your thumb. After some time start using your thumb and you can then feel when you are going off to the side with your thumb and just cancel the swing. It should take you about a week tops. I know it sounds weird but Tiger woods is one of the first games I got for my ps2 back in the day and that is how I taught myself to swing with my thumb. If all else fails cut a piece of cardboard just wide enough for the analog stick and mount the on your controller so it can't go off to the sides.
