This is the best show that MTV has ever put out in my opinion. Everything else is crap.

Are they going to have the videos, though? Without them, what's the point?

yea they need to include the videos. I saw some of the episodes about a year ago with the videos and everything still stands up really well

and I may have to watch the VMA's if Beavis and Butt-Head are going to be on. I bet that part will rule

They better have the videos, that's what made the show great.

OMG i hate the videos. Beavis and Butthead dont listen to my kind of music, i used to change the channel until those were done. I dont think many videos would be included on any dvd release because they would probably have to pay those artist again....just my guess though

But, it's fun listening to them insult music they don't like.

To help promote the set, Beavis & Butt-Head will return to MTV to present the Viewer's Choice Award at the 2005 MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 28.

Damn now I might have to tune in. :(

God, finally. I thought I was going to have to resort to burning my insanely bad quality episodes to a DVD-R.

Well I'm buying this. I also have the Time Life set, it's actually pretty good.

Yes! Although I watched that recently on digital cable (no idea what channel) and unfortunetely it actually wasn't as good as I remembered.

I doubt it. Once you pay to use the song in your copyrighted material I'm 99% sure you don't have to pay again if that material enters a new medium.

I agree. That show was awesome.

Nope. The music (or whatever for that matter) was licensed for TV, so they would need to re-license it. Its the same thing that happened with the Chapelle DVDs (at least I think it was Chapelle, someone correct me if I'm wrong).

I think they should include the videos but put in an option where you can watch with or without them.

Also, yes, Daria needs to be on DVD. All I have are the two movies and that is not near enough to satisfy my frothing demands.

more details here... looks like it's a combonation of shorts, directors cut episodes and videos with beavis and butthead commentary...

Well, they got some of the music videos on this DVD set, so I guess that's better than nothing. However, this still seems like a random compilation of episodes. If they are going to release the series stripped of videos, they could at least do some season sets. Without the videos, the episodes don't take up much space.

I'll wait for some reviews/info on this before I decide to buy. I'll probably end up buying this, though, because I don't believe anyone (even Mike Judge) has a complete set of episodes.

I remember MTV saying that each season would cost close to $200 if they were able to license all the music videos. They might as well release a mega-set and have it only available directly through MTV if they are concerned about money.

Some reviewers have gotten the set early and its a heavily edited piece of crap. Stick with the Time Life sets.

Reviewers at amazon are claiming that stuff is cut out as well, and some specific examples of this are given.

its only 20 at Sears so it still might be worth it (I got an ad with this price in the mail yesterday)

I think I might just get a TV capture card and record the episodes off of comedy central
