I and I know alot of other users take pride in the number of posts they have achieved on this site. But, I don't think the 1,000 mark should be the high point. I guess the 1,000 posts rank would be the last time that you would be able to change the text under the Monopoly heads, so you could just put more Monopoly heads to show their rank. Damn, that sounds kinda stupid, but I can't think of another way we could show that we're above the 1,000 post rank. I just know that I would like more ranks. I'm thinking other ppl would want more as well, but just to make sure, could other users post what they think about adding more ranks? Also input about how we could show that we're past the 1,000 post rank would be awesome. But, of course, the biggest factor is approval from Cheapy. So, Cheapy, do you think it's possible for you to add more ranks?

I think things are perfectally fine how they are now. 1000 posts is quite an achivement, and adding more heads isnt gonna go much of anything.

I think the ability to have custom ranks once you reach 1000 posts is sufficient.
Edit: Brolly beat me to it.

I'd agree with Brolly. After 1000 post count ends up being a moot point. It means you've either been here quite a while or have WAY to much free time on your hands. Either way, implementing so many changs for such a small percentage of the userbase would be fairly wasteful.

well, i thought it was a little dumb, that before casey got mod status, he was over 2k and only had a 1k rank. but 1k is a good high mark, also since many take personal ranks at that point, like me.

Not that I want to add another rank, but a suggestion...
How about adding more variations of the "1K posts..." rank? Throw in a 2K, 3K, and so on that'll display if the user doesn't have a custom title.

I agree with you JSweeney, and I am content with the current ranking system.

Oh, I thought more ppl wanted it. I saw about five ppl mention they did and I just assumed others followed. I guess not. Oh well, lock the thread.

That is not a good thing. Post counts are insignificant.

definitely. you have people that have been on here for only a few weeks that have post counts that dwarf mine, but it doesn't really mean much.

Like Scrubking said, post count doesn't mean anything. It's the quality of your post, and what you are contributing to the topic. I don't believe we should add any more rankings. What CheapyD has is just fine.

i like your idea gothic, but imo it's not a big deal whether it changes or not.
