Thats terrible! I saw Voivod years ago when Soundgarden and Faith No More opened up for them. Great fucking band!

Dimension Hatross is one of the best fucking metal albums ever made. I played the shit out of that.

:( They were one of my favorite bands growing up. Voivod was one of the most original metal bands ever and albums like Nothingface and Dimension are works of art to me. Piggy was very inventive and was a nice guy when I talked to him. I got to see them twice, but the first time I saw them (with Snake) I missed almost the whole show. My heart goes out to voivod and his family.

Jason Newstead wasn't an original member but he later joined them after he left Metallica.
The stuff I grew up with are the pre-Newstead albums.

I still have that Flotsam & Jetsom CD. Doomsday for the Deceiver. It was pretty good although it hasnt aged that well.
