um... if you read the whole article, they say that the faceplate has a plastic screen on it too and when it gets dinged up you can just trash it and get a new one. there was a whole paragraph for that.

and also they didnt say it was a good deal. they said it isn't necessarily a no-brainer to buy it for $100. so they were saying yeah it is expensive but its still cool.

That's not how I read what they are saying.

At a price tag of $100, it's not a no-brainer to run out and get a Micro (the full-sized SP is $20 cheaper), but it's clearly a handy game system to have in your collection.

I'll pass on this for now. If it came out for $50-$60 I might have considered it, but for $100 I would rather play my more comfortable to hold and bigger GBA SP. I really could care less if the Micro screen is brighter, it will still be damn hard to read anything on it.

Even though I hate the DS and think it's a crappy console, if I WERE to spend the money i'd just pay the extra 20 bucks and buy a DS simply for advance wars :D.

It seems directed at people who are more gadget-oriented than gaming-oriented necessarily. Almost all the gaming boards bash the Micro, even the ones at nintendo.com. Their target demographic is definately not the gaming crowd. If Nintendo can sell say a half million units by the end of this holiday season to mostly the non-video gaming population, that's a spectacularly brilliant strategy.

Saw the Micro firsthand today in the Nintendo World store in NYC. It is REALLY small, and the screen is REALLY small as well. That said, it is cool as hell and I will be getting one. As an aside, the Nintendo World store is pretty cool. They have a display case with all of the different colored GBA SPs. They also have for sale a limited edition Mario GBA SP bundle. It's a red and silver GBA SP with a Mario logo on top and it comes with Mario vs. DK. It's $200. Thoughts?

What do you guys think, I just bought an SP today with Metroid Fusion and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance for $89 bucks. Should I keep that package or pick up the Micro? I used to have a SP so I still have about 10 games for it.
