Howdy, well I just put in my application to be accepted as a Marine Chaplain tonight. I applied throught the DOD but hope to be accepted/assigned as 1. Marine. 2 navy. 3 coast guard ( you may see the navy bias in my family). I hope that they accept my application, and that I may serve my country as I serve my God. My family is very used to the midwest life and will be of course effected by the move, but I hope that my dream is fulfilled and I can have the great joy of serving Christ while at the same time buttrussing the faith of our marines in fighting the good fight of faith. I am inot in harms way now, and if assigned may or may not be in the future. But..

For your information....I don't think we should be in Iraq right now, I think president Bush is very wrong in his reasoning to be in Iraq, yet so many soldiers are stationed in Iraq or close by now. I dearly hope to speak the gospel to them soon.

I hope that my application is accepted.. While I have a 9 and 5 year old I know I need to serve my God and Country (but they may be different things). If you don't believe in God.. please hope for my acceptance to serve the country. If you believe in God and country please pray that I may dilligently serve God and country. and that the USA may be a place of Justice, Mercy, humbleness (micah 6:8)

I'm certainly not one for organized religion, but kudos for you. I would think it would be a pretty tough job, but you're doing something great for a lot of people.

Good luck. I'm not religious at all, but I think you are doing a wonderful thing to help those of your faith who are serving.
