List of $20 for 46 episodes? Wow that's damn cheap.

Wow, great deal, even though I never knew about this show, but for $14 I think I might become a fan!

Yuck that it is a shitty remake of the original awesome series.

They have original concepts for their episodes though right? I vaguely remember when this aired, but that was pre-Tivo and I never managed to catch any of them IIRC.

Thae show is pretty okay, the things are worth it, few good guest appearances too, like jessica simpson and usher.

That version is WAY hit or miss. There are lots of shitty episodes, but every once in a while one of them really surprised me (in a good way). Definitely worth $14.

Steal for 14. All the good episodes were remakes of the Serling era. They did make one sequel though (It's Still a Good Life). Remember, the kid who sent people 'away'? Man, that creeped me out.
I don't think this series is as good as the 80's run, and definately not as good as the Serling era, but worth it for 14 dollars. I'll be ordering it to add to my quest for every Twilight Zone episode.

I don't get why it says it hasn't been released yet, because I'm pretty sure as hell it has been.

Anyway, I'm a fan of the original Twilight Zone, so I'll be getting this. You really can't go into this expecting the host to match Rod Sterling, etc. etc.

I'd rather get it latewr and save cash. Kinda like how I found Collection One of Serling TZ for 40 at Target. Now to wait and find 2 at that price.

You summed it up perfectly.

It has something to do with Amazon and the manufacturers of the products. Instead of Amazon screwing you by selling it for the old full price it used to sell for until the price-drop happens, they re-release it as a new item w/a new MSRP. It might even have a new SKU for all I know.
Something like that. The show is still on TBS or WGN or something every Sunday night around 1am ET if you've never seen it before. There are definitely some really cool episodes, and $14 for SIX DVDs (15 hours!) is the most unbeatable deal I've ever seen...which, of course, directly translates to: "this series kind of sucked and no one bought it for $49.99, now what do we do?"
You can get a really good gauge of the quality by reading the Amazon reviews.

Wow, I bought this on release day and was happy with it at 45.00! For 13.99, pick it up, you'll love it!
Note that if you're a SERIOUSLY hardcore original Twilight Zone, you may be dissapointed, but for a casual fan that really enjoys the marathons they run on sci-fi sometimes, you'll have no problem. The amazon reviews are nitpicky as shit, seriously, who cares if Forest Whitaker WALKS AROUND while introducing the show? The reviews are fucking ridiculous

I kind of do, every time I see/hear him in an episode it makes me cringe. They really needed to cast someone a bit creepier. That guy just reeks of nerd, and I can't see him without thinking of his love fetish for a scrawny guy-chick (The Crying Game, kids).
He's probably the worst part of the whole series :)

Does anyone here know anything about the way Amazon does its shipping? I was thinking of ordering this with something else I want, and so it would be $25 and get free shipping. Now, since the Twilight Zone won't ship until late September, and my other item is ready to ship, I can choose to have them shipped either together in late September, or as they become available, but that says it will cost more money. Does it still cost more money to do that and have them in seperate orders, even though I have the free shipping? It doesn't even mention what the cost of the seperate shipping would be. So, anyone know?

I don't believe you can ship in two seperate orders when you use Super Saver Shipping (The chepeast option, and in your case, free).

Never even heard of the show but at 14 bucks even if 40 of them are pure shit I would be happy with the good 6.

I found this set at WM for 15.43, once you ad shipping from amazon its equal and you don't have to wait till sept 20th. I bought and like thus far but I'm only through 2 disc!

They also have a good deal on the Beavis and Butthead Mike Judge Set #1. Add that to the order if you want that. Also, Day of the Dead 2-disc is only $10, but you'd still need to add a cheap DVD or something like that to get it to $25.

Cool, I'm all about in-store purchasing over online. I didn't realize B&Ms were lowering it this cheap already (or even carried it at all!). Thanks!
EDIT: Wal-mart.com still shows it at $33.98, but I wouldn't doubt the B&M lowering it already, probably YMMV until the 20th.

That's weird, First it was $13.99, then I noticed it went up to $15.99, now $23.99??
I simply went with Wal-Mart. You can still pick them up there in-store for $15.38 or so...

Ya, the price seems to increase the more people purchase it.

I got the last copy at my W-M for 15.xx, the instore WM kiosk had it priced at 33.xx.
Regarding Whitaker: Serling was also 'in' some of the original episodes. The camera would pan away from the stars of the ep, and Serling would be 'in' the scene, IIRC.
Guest stars: the original also featured popular and soon-to-be popular actors as guest stars. It's not the series's fault that Jessica Simpson and Portia de Rossi aren't the same caliber as William Shatner or Burgess Meredith.

I hate how I always wait to order things.
><
That's what having to borrow a credit card from the parents does to you. But oh well, I wasn't THAT interested in it.
