View Full Version : Advance Wars DS crashes? wtf..

Im enjoying the hell out of this game..But Im sort of getting annoyed at how its even remotely possible that this game could crash. I started noticing the problem when I was around level 4 into campaign mode. At certain times, during the end of battle sequences the game would crash if I touched the screen. The bottom screen would go black and..just die. The top screen would still be there..with music. But really nothing I could do to fix it other than turn it off. This has happened a few more times in later levels. Anyone having this wierd problem?
Touching is bad.

Werid. I never had a problem with Advance Wars yet but I actually haven't played it yet either lol. I'll give it a whirl tonight and give you my feedback.

I've logged 14 hours in the game, and it has not crashed once on me. I don't really use the touch screen for normal controls (only for the map editor) -- since my commute is rather bumpy at times and i was too often wasting turns or attacking the wrong enemy -- so that may account for my lack of problems.

My brother has spent hours playing AW DS, and he hasn't said anything about the game crashing.

I just got it a couple days ago, I'm at level 5 or 6. And I havent had any crashes. I'm thinking the game is just wonky.

maybe you should call/email nintendo, They may just send you a new cart.

i have about 34 hours into AW:DS and it crashed on me once. wasn't during Campaign though, it was while playing a map in the War Room. i was quite pissed, i was about an hour into that map and victory was in sight.

hmm, that does suck that the game is a little buggy. I would go with what some of the others have been saying. Get hold of nintendo and se what the problem is. I am sure you are not the only one with this problem.

Might want to call Nintendo and see about getting a new cart/NDS. I've played 20-30 missions/maps so far and haven't crashed once.

Maybe the store you bought it from will give you a replacement.
Better to get it replaced now when you're only into mission 4 then when you're into mission 25.
