I don't know what I'm looking at.
A screencap of KQ on a PSP.
Edit for clarification: He probably loaded up KQ on his comp, Print Screened + editted it, then put it on his PSP.

Did you install Windows 95 on your PSP or something?

It's not an image, sheesh!
Here's how:
Get GBAGI (http://www.bripro.com/gbagi/index.php). Use it to load the games into a GBA ROM image, and then emulate it on your PSP. Ta-daaa! More Sierra adventure than you can shake an Ifnkovhgroghprm at.
Bonus points if you got that reference.

how do you type commands in? (like open mailbox, talk to grandma, take carrot...)
EDIT: nvm, found it

here's to the old scumm/point click games of yesteryear... now those games are a dying genre :(

Why can't these games just die already?

...why in gods name would anyone want that? it's the one genre that needs a revamp... the only game to recently be released in this genre is trace memmory, but even then... :(

Stupid Sony is reviving it with their damn Adventure Player.
IMO they need to just let this genre die. People are nostalgic about it, but it's not fun.

actually, nostalga has nothing to do with it at all. The majority of point and click games have been pretty fun. It's not not fun, it's just not fitting to what you like.

Syberia was a fun adventure game. Thanks for the info OP, doubtful but I wonder if any of the older, (say 95ish) RTS's like Age of Empires, would work with this. Meaning no massive slowdown.

I could see using the stick for moving... but there wasn't any keyboard emulation, was there? That would render just about evergame impossible to play.

The SCUMM emulator for DS is really nice because you can use the touch screen to choose things, but it's awesome on the PSP as well 8-)

I love how people use this toy that costs more than any current console to mainly play old EGA and Nintendo games on the go, and read downloaded comic books.

Ah...we need something to do since we all played out the entire PSP library...while we are waiting for the new titles to come out.

That rocks.
By the way, Isn't there a Win95 Emulator for the PSP you could have used too?
I hope this genre gets a nice rebirth with the DS.
I would love to see Myst DS

Quest for Glory is an SCI game, I'm afraid.
You could run Win95, but then your running a program desinged for DOS on a platform not designed for Win95. And you'd have no way to type commands.
The GBAGI squeezes all the text into selectable windows, almost exactly like the Master System version of King's Quest. Which I can also emulate on my PSP. 8-)
