I'm lookin to get a platformer for my PSP, it just seems like the best kind of game to have on-the-go. I'm sure this question has been asked before, but w/e...
Death Jr. or Ape Escape?
I've heard mixed messages about both, and I loved Ape Escape on PS1, but I don't know if it's worth another play-through with substandard controls.

Death Jr. is fun, the gameplay is similar to the third Ratchet and Clank game, about 90% action, 10% platformer.
Haven't played Ape Escape, so I can't comment on it.

Ape Escape was good, but i dont think i warrents another playthrough if youve beat the PS1 version.

I'dsay Ape Escaope gets the slight nod if you're looking for a straight-up, mario 64 type game, however if you're craving amore action-orentated platformer, than AE is your answer.

Id hope if he was looking for a straight-up mario 64 type game, he would have chosen a Nintendo DS instead of a PSP :-p
Ive been debating on picking these games up too, but ill wait til i can grab em for 20 or less. I really liked Ape Escape 1 but i read in reviews how the 1 analog stick for PSP takes away from the fun that makes Ape Escape unique in the first place.

I don't know why the reviews for DJ were so bad. I have the game and believe it deserved at least an 8.0 (the camera gets annoying at times).

I beat DJ last weekend, it was and ok game. I think Medieval looks tight but its getting 7's.

Having played and beaten both, Id say go with Ape Escape. I found it just a little bit more enjoyable.

Both are average...I really like Ape Escape at first, but it bores me a bit now. DeathJr was ok....but that really annoyed me. So, try MEdievel maybe

ugh why must all these PSP games score 7. Medieval, Ape Escape and Death Jr all scored in the low 7 ranges :-(
